Candidates preparing for CTET 2026 must solve CTET Previous Year Question Papers as a non-negotiable part of their preparation strategy. These papers are the most important study material that helps understand the exam’s structure, recurring question types, difficulty level, and topic-wise weightage across all sections of both Paper 1 (Classes I–V) and Paper 2 (Classes VI–VIII).

Important: The CTET exam was not conducted in 2025. The most recent edition CTET February 2026 was held on 7th and 8th February 2026. The next edition, CTET September 2026, is scheduled for 6th September 2026.

CTET Minimum Qualifying Marks

To be awarded the CTET certificate, candidates must meet the minimum qualifying marks prescribed by CBSE. The qualifying marks differ by category.

1. General / Unreserved- 60% (90 marks)
2. SC / ST / OBC / PwD- 55% (82 marks)

Note: CTET certificates are valid for a lifetime (made permanent by CBSE in 2021). There is no limit on the number of attempts, and the certificate can be improved by appearing in subsequent examinations.
