Quantitative Aptitude (Prelims)

• Consistently high-weightage: Data Interpretation (Table, Bar, Line graphs),
• Simplification/Approximation, Number Series
• Increasingly tested: Caselet-based DI, Data Sufficiency
• 2024–2025 shift: Quant leaned more time-consuming, with 2-3 DI sets per paper rather than 1-2

Reasoning Ability (Prelims)

• Puzzles and Seating Arrangement dominate (8-10 questions alone)
• Blood Relations, Syllogism, and Inequality remain steady, low-difficulty scoring areas
• Machine Input-Output has appeared inconsistently — check the last 3 years' papers to calculate current relevance

Mains (Reasoning + DI)

• Consistently the toughest and most time-consuming sections in recent years
• Puzzles in Mains are longer and more layered than Prelims puzzles
• DI in Mains increasingly mixes 2 data sets in one question (e.g., table + missing-value calculation)

English & General Awareness (Mains)

• English trends easier relative to other sections — a good section to build speed and accuracy
• Banking/Economy Awareness questions increasingly reference the previous 6 months of financial news — pair PYQs with a current-affairs revision schedule, not just static GK

How to Actually Use SBI PO Previous Year Question Papers

Just downloading the PYQs is not the task; candidates have to attempt the paper in a strategic manner. 

1. Solve under timed, exam-like conditions — no pausing, no phone, exact section timing.
2. Review immediately after, not days later — while your reasoning for each answer is still fresh.
3. Track 3 numbers per attempt: accuracy %, questions attempted, and time per section. A single score means nothing without these.
4. Separate "wrong because of concept gap" from "wrong because of time pressure" — they need completely different fixes.
5. Re-attempt only the questions you got wrong, 3-4 days later, without looking at the solution first.
