The Department of School Education, Government of Telangana, is responsible for conducting the Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TG TET) to determine the eligibility of candidates for the primary classes (1st to 5th) and upper primary classes (6th to 8th). TG TET Exam Date 2026 Out

As announced by the officials, the candidates who have applied for TG TET 2026 Exam, their exam has been scheduled for 9 days in 15 sessions from 3rd to 20th January 2026. The exam will be conducted in two sessions (9 am to 11:30 am and 2 pm to 4:30 pm).

Steps to Apply for TGTET 2026 Exam

1. Visit the official website of the Department of School Education, Government of Telangana i.e., https://tgtet.aptonline.in/tgtet/ or https://schooledu.telangana.gov.in/
2. On the home page, look for the “Apply for TG TET January 2026” and then choose the “New Registration” option.
3. Fill in the details required to generate your respective Application Number and Password.
4. Now log in using your credentials to fill out the application form.
5. Enter your respective personal and academic information along with the exam preference details.
6. Upload all the documents, such as your recent passport-size photograph and scanned signature.
7. Pay the TGTET application fee through Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card, or UPI.
8. Download and save the application form for further use.

TG TET 2026 January Exam Pattern

• The TGTET exam will include multiple-choice questions.
• The exam will be held online in computer-based mode.
• Every question carries 1 mark in the computer-based test, i.e. for every correct answer, candidates will get 1 mark.
• There will be no negative marking in the exam, i.e. no marks will be deducted for wrong answers.
• The duration of the exam will be 2 hours and 30 minutes.

TS TET Syllabus 2026

Department of School Education, the Government of Telangana, prescribed the TS TET Syllabus 2026. Candidates who will participate in the TS TET Exam must have complete knowledge of the TS TET Syllabus. The following are the subjects that will be asked in the TS TET Paper 1 and Paper 2 exams.

The TSTET Paper 1 comprises topics from the following subjects:

TS TET Certificate 2026

Candidates who declared qualified in the Telangana State Teaching Eligibility Test (TS TET) will be provided a TS TET Certificate. The validity of the Telangana TET certificate is lifetime. The candidates have to download the TS TET certificate PDF from the official portal of Digilocker. Candidates who possess it will become eligible for various teaching posts released by the state government.
