India Post GDS Result 2026, 1st Merit List PDF (State wise)

As the registration process is now over, India Post will now declare the India Post GDS Result 2026 of the post of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) for all regions on the official website on 28th February 2026. The candidates who applied for Gramin Dak Sevak posts can check their names in the list of shortlisted candidates from the official website https://www.indiapost.gov.in/ or https://www.indiapostgdsonline.gov.in/. The shortlisted candidates will have to verify their documents in the document verification round to get a final appointment to the posts of Gramin Dak Sevak in their respective circles.

India GDS Merit List 2026 PDF Download

India Post will release the India Post GDS Result 2026 region-wise on its official website for all circles on 28th February 2026. The Result PDF includes details such as Division, Office, Post Name, Post Community, Registration Number, Candidate's Name, percentage of marks obtained, DV dates, Gender, Community, and documents to be verified. 

The shortlisted applicants have to appear for verification of original documents by the verifying Authority chosen by the applicant at the time of application. The candidates can check their selection status from the India Post GDS Result 2026 PDF Download Links, which will be updated against the postal circle you have applied for as the results.

Steps to Download Post Office GDS Result 2026 PDF

India Post Gramin Dak Sevak Result will be released officially on https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in/. The candidates can either check their results from the above links or directly from the official website. 

Step 1- Visit the official website of India Post at https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in/.

Step 2- On the homepage, the list of all circles is mentioned. 

Step 3- Click on the region you have applied for. 

Step 4- Click on India Post GDS Result PDF for the concerned region.  

Step 5- Check your India Post GDS Result 2026 with the roll numbers of candidates shortlisted for DV. 

India Post GDS Result Selection Process

India Post GDS result has been prepared based on marks obtained/ conversion of Grades/Points to marks (as explained in sub-paragraphs- iii to ix below) in the Secondary School Examination of 10th standard of approved Boards, aggregated to percentage to the accuracy of 4 decimals. Passing all the subjects as per the respective approved board norms is mandatory.

For applicants where the Secondary School Examination of 10th standard mark sheet has marks or marks and Grade/Points both, only their total marks will be worked out by taking into account the marks obtained in all compulsory and elective/optional subjects (other than extra subjects, if any). This will ensure that applicants with higher marks get selected.

For applicants having only grades subject-wise, marks will be arrived for each subject (compulsory and elective subjects but not extra subjects by applying the multiplying factor of 9.5 in the following manner.
