TG TET Syllabus 2026, Exam Pattern for Paper 1 and Paper 2
Department of School Education, Government of Telangana, has released a TG TET Syllabus 2026 along with the marking scheme on its official website, https://schooledu.telangana.gov.in. As the exam will be conducted from 3rd to 31st January 2026, so candidates must start preparing for the eligibility test from todaay onwards. Those preparing must review the subject-wise topics, marking scheme, and exam pattern mentioned in the article and follow a well-planned strategy to score better in the exam.
TG TET Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2026
The department has released a TG TET Notification 2026 for the Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), a state-level exam for recruiting eligible teachers. It is conducted to recruit eligible teachers for primary classes (1st to 5th grade) and upper primary classes (6th to 8th grade). Both papers have various subjects Child Development and Pedagogy, Language papers, Mathematics, Science or Social Studies and Environmental Studies. Candidates must prepare as per the topics mentioned in the TG TET Syllabus 2026.

The TG TET Exam 2026 will comprise the following Subjects in Paper 2:
The exam consists of four sections: Science and Math or Social Science section has 60 questions, while each of the other three subjects contains 30 questions.
The exam duration is 2.5 hours.
The total questions asked in the exam is 150
Each question carries 1 mark and there is no negative marking.

Candidates must attain the minimum qualifying marks to pass the Telangana State Teaching Eligibility Test (TG TET) 2026. As mentioned in the notification pdf, the TG TET Minimum qualifying marks are as follows.
TG TET Paper 1 for class 1 to 5 has 5 sections, and each section has 30 questions, with 1 mark for each question.
Paper 1 consists of topics from class 1 to 5 whereas paper 2 consists of topics from class 6 to 8. Any candidate can definitely appear for both the papers if one wishes.
Ans. Although the TG TET syllabus 2025 is vast, but with proper time management, devotion and consistency one can complete it in 4 months.
