Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET), also known as REET, is a state-level exam conducted by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) to assess the eligibility of the candidates for Primary and Upper- Primary level Teachers in the state schools. The REET exam consists of  Level 1 and Level 2 papers. The REET Level 1 is for Primary Teachers who want to teach Classes 1 to 5, and Level 2 is for Upper Primary Teachers who want to teach Classes 6 to 8. Those who wish to become Classes 1 to 8 teachers need to appear for both levels.

REET 2026 Online Application Form

To appear for the REET 2026 exam, the candidates must submit their online registration form at the official website of  https://rssb.rajasthan.gov.in/. The online registration dates for the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) will be released along with the notification. Education qualification for Level I (class 1 to 5)

Refer to the table below and check the detailed education qualifications related to a primary teacher or Level I teacher-

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulation, 2002.

REET 2026 Selection Process

The REET Exam 2024 will be conducted by the Rajasthan Board of Education to assess and shortlist suitable candidates who are eligible to teach the students of primary & upper primary classes ranging from class 1 to class 8. REET exam is of two levels - Level 1 for classes I to V and Level 2 for classes VI to VIII. The candidates who qualify REET Exam with the minimum qualifying marks as prescribed by the exam authorities will be eligible for REET Certification for their appointment in government & government-aided schools of Rajasthan. The selection criteria for the Rajasthan REET exam will be done in two stages

REET Exam Pattern 2026

  1. The Exam Paper of REET will be comprised of 150 questions.
  2. There is no negative marking for REET Eligibility Test.
  3. Candidates will be allotted a total of 2 hours and 30 min to complete the exam paper.
  4. The exam will be conducted in offline mode and there will be separate papers for Primary teachers and Upper Primary Teachers.

REET Exam 2026 Syllabus 

The REET exam syllabus has been designed according to the NCTE Guidelines. The Board of Education, Rajasthan going to conduct separate exams for primary and upper primary teachers. REET 2026 Minimum Qualifying Marks

A candidate must score at least 60% marks to qualify for the interview round. There is a negative marking of ⅓ mark for the REET exam and the candidate has to score overall qualifying marks to get selected for recruitment. There are no criteria for section-wise qualification. By NCTE Guidelines, the REET Certificate shall be valid for a lifetime.

REET 2026 Salary

The candidates will get salaries according to their grades. Candidates are curious about the salary structure of primary teachers and also about other grade teachers. The grade-wise salary structure is given below in the table. REET 2026 Certificate Validity

Only the finally shortlisted candidates are liable for REET Certification, after which they can appear for interview rounds for the schools in the state. The REET 2026 Certificate validity of the Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test 'REET' in the state will now be lifelong as announced by Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot. Earlier, the REET certificates were valid for up to seven years, which was later reduced to three years.

REET Admit Card 

Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education will conduct the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teacher (REET) and which admit card will be available on the official website of the Rajasthan education board, rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in. Candidates can download admit cards till the date of the examination. 

Steps to Download REET Admit Card

  1. Visit the official website of Rajasthan Education Board @rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in
  2. Click on the link reading REET Exam 2024 Admit Card, which will be active soon.
  3. Enter your details and click on Submit button.
  4. The hall ticket for the written exam of REET will appear on the screen.
  5. Download and save your call letter, and take a printout of the same for future reference.

REET 2026 Answer Key

The Board of Education, Rajasthan will release a tentative REET Answer Key 2026 along with the correct responses of the questions asked in the examination. The answer key would help the aspirants to calculate their approximate score before the announcement of the result. 

REET 2026 Result 

The Board of Education, Rajasthan will release results after the successful completion of the offline written examination process. The candidates who have given the exam and waiting for results must stay updated regarding the REET Result

REET 2026 Cut-off 

REET 2026 Cut-off is the minimum score to qualify for the written examination. The Board of Education, Rajasthan will release the cut-off category-wise once the written exam will be conducted. A Candidate who scores 60% or more in the REET exam will be considered a REET pass.  Up to 5% of relaxation in qualifying marks is allowed to the reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC/PWD
