JKSSB Constable Recruitment 2026 Summary

Candidates who have passed 10th and lie in the age group of 18 to 28 Years can only apply online at the Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board official website www.jkssb.nic.in. The selection of candidates will be based on a 4-stage selection process that includes a written exam, Physical Endurance Test & Physical Standard Test, Medical Examination, and Document Verification.

JKSSB Constable Vacancy 2026

JK Police Constable Selection Process 2026

The JK Police Constable Selection Process 2026 consists of several stages that candidates must complete to be considered for the position. Firstly, there is a written test, where candidates are evaluated on their knowledge and understanding of relevant subjects. Following this, there is a Physical Standard Test (PST) to ensure candidates meet specified physical criteria such as height, weight, and chest measurements. Lastly, there is a physical endurance test (PET).

Besides that, NCC ‘C’ certificate holders get 5% extra marks, NCC ‘B’ certificate holders get 3% extra marks, and NCC ‘A’ certificate holders get 2% extra marks.

JKSSB Constable Physical Test 2026

The Physical standard test and measurement test for the constables is as follows:

Physical Standards:

a) For Male Candidates:

• Height: Minimum 5 feet 6 inches
• Chest (Unexpanded): Minimum 32 inches
• Chest (Expanded): Minimum 33.5 inches

b) For Female Candidates:

• Height: Minimum 5 feet 2 inches

Physical Endurance Test (PET)

Only candidates who clear the PST will be allowed to take part in the PET.

For Male Candidates:

• Long Race: 1600 meters in 6 minutes 30 seconds
• Push-ups: 20 (1 full cycle = up and down)

For Female Candidates:

• Long Race: 1000 meters in 6 minutes 30 seconds
• Shot Put (4 kg): Minimum distance of 14.5 feet in 3 attempts
