The SSC JE exam is conducted by the SSC to recruit eligible candidates for the post of Junior Engineers in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Posts for various Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations in the Government of India. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released the SSC JE Notification 2024 at www.ssc.gov.in. A total of 968 vacancies for Junior Engineers Posts have been released through notification pdf. The SSC JE 2024 Exam is scheduled for the 5th, 6th and 7th of June 2024. The SSC JE posts are Group B (Non-Gazetted), in Level-6 (Rs 35400-112400/-) of the pay matrix of the 7th Central Pay Commission. This year a total of 968 vacancies for the posts of Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical & Electrical) for Organizations/ Offices of the Government of India have been released along with the SSC JE Notification 2024. SSC JE 2024 Application Fee
Candidates are required to pay Rs. 100/- as their application fee for the SSC JE 2024 Exam. Female Candidates, Ex. Servicemen and Candidates belonging to reserved categories are exempted from paying the application fee for the SSC JE 2024 Exam. The payment of the application fee can be made only through online payment modes such as Net-Banking, Credit/Debit cards and BHIM, UPI etc.
Steps to Apply for the SSC JE Recruitment 2024
Interested candidates should check the step-by-step guide for an easy application process and they must follow the steps below to fill out SSC JE 2024 application form.
Step 1: Go to the official website of SSC (https://ssc.gov.in/).
Step 2: The registration link for SSC JE 2024 will open up in the new window.
Step 3: Click on the New User/Register Now link.
Step 4: To begin with the SSC JE Apply Online 2024, a candidate needs to provide basic details of themselves like name, parents' name, date of birth, email id, mobile number etc.
Step 5: Click on submit button to submit your online registration form of SSC JE 2024. It is advised that candidates verify their details before submitting the form. All the candidates will be issued a Registration ID for SSC JE 2024 exam.
Step 6: In the next step, candidates are required to upload photographs and signatures by following the requisites mentioned by the Staff Selection Commission of India.
Photograph - The photograph of a candidate must be clicked in front of white colour or light-coloured background. The size of the photograph must be more than 4 kb and less than 12 kb in size. The resolution of the photograph must be 100*120 pixels in width and height.
Signature - The signature provided by the candidate must be in black or blue ink on the white sheet. The scanned copy of the signature that needs to be submitted must be in jpg format and it should be more than 1 kb and less than 12 kb in size. The resolution of the image should be 40*60 pixels in width and height.
Step 7: Login with registered ID and password to complete the Part-II of the application form of SSC JE 2024.
Step 8: After filling out the application form, candidates must preview the entire application of SSC JE 2024 once to look for any glitches in the form, if any as the application form once submitted cannot be edited again.
Step 9: Click on Final Submit button after previewing the complete online SSC JE 2024 application form and pay the required application fee through online mode only. The payment of the application fee can be made only through online payment modes such as Net-Banking, Credit/Debit cards and BHIM, UPI etc.

SSC JE Age Limit (as on 01/08/2024)
For the posts for which age limit is upto 30 years- The candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-08-1994 and not later than 01-08-2006.

SSC JE 2024 Selection Process
Under the SSC JE selection process candidates have to undergo the Paper 1, Paper 2, and document verification process. Paper-I & Paper-II will be held in CBT mode and consist of Objective Type, Multiple-choice questions only. The candidates will be required to attempt the General Engineering part (i.e., Part-A, Part-B or Part-C) in Paper-I and Paper-II, which has been selected by them, based on their Stream/ Subject of Educational Qualification.

SSC JE 2024 Exam Pattern
SSC JE 2024 Exam will be conducted in two papers. Paper 1 will be of 200 marks and paper 2 will be of 300 marks. Both paper 1 and paper 2 are Multiple Choice Questions. 0.25 marks will be deducted for every question attempted wrong by a candidate in paper 1 and in paper 2 there will be a negative marking of 1 mark.

SSC JE 2024 Admit Card
SSC JE 2024 Admit Card will be released for the Tier-I Exam followed by Tier-II by the Staff Selection Commission of India. Candidates can download Admit Card by clicking on the link mentioned below. Candidates are required to download their Admit Card and carry it with them to the Exam Centre.

The Cut-Off for SSC JE 2024 will be released once the result for each phase has been declared by SSC.
