SSC JE Exam Pattern 2026
Candidates appearing for the SSC JE 2026 Exam must be aware of the SC JE Exam Pattern 2026 to get an idea about the sectional weightage, marking scheme, type of questions, etc., for the exam. The SSC JE Exam will be conducted in two papers, which will be held in online mode.
- SSC JE 2026 exam consists of Objective Multiple Choice Questions
- The mode of the SSC JE exam is a computer-based mode
- Paper 1 will be held for 200 marks, and Paper 2 will be for 300 marks
- In the SSC JE Paper 1 exam, 1 mark will be awared for each correct answer, and 3 marks will be given for each correct answer in Paper 2
- A total of 0.25 marks will be deducted for every question attempted incorrectly by a candidate in paper 1, and in paper 2, there will be a negative marking of 1 mark

SSC JE Exam Pattern 2026 [Paper 1]
- The SSC JE Paper 1 exam is divided into three parts.
- Part 1: General Intelligence and Reasoning, Part 2: General Awareness, and Part 3 for Engineering subjects (Civil & Structural/ Electrical/ Mechanical)
- Paper 1 includes 200 objective-type multiple-choice questions.
- For each correct answer, 1 mark will be awared, there is negative marking, 0.25 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
- The time duration of Paper 1 is 2 hours.

- The SSC JE Paper 2 exam will be held in online mode, consisting of objective-type multiple-choice questions.

- A total of 100 questions will be asked for a total of 300 marks.
- A 3 mark will be given for correct answers, and 1 mark will be deducted for incorrect answers.
- The time duration of the exam will be 2 hours.
