SSC JE Answer Key- Raise Objections Process

The interested candidates may log in using their User ID (i.e. Registration Number) and Password (as per Admission Certificate) and submit representations, if any, which may be submitted online only with a payment of Rs. 50/-per question/answer challenged. The candidates may take a print-out of their respective Response Sheets as they will not be available after the specified time limit i.e. 22nd December 2025 (6 pm).

1. Visit the official website of SSC at https://ssc.gov.in/.
2. Log in with your registration number and password.
3. Click on the link reading “Click to Raise Objections to Tentative SSC JE Answer key”.
4. Log in using your SSC User ID and Password
5. Choose the question number and the correct option according to you.
6. Pay the applicable fee and submit the objection.
7. Attach proof for the objection raised.

SSC JE Answer Key 2025 Marking Scheme

SSC JE Paper 1 has 200 questions for 200 marks; each correct answer carries 1 mark, and each wrong answer attracts a negative marking of 0.25 marks.

1. Each question in Paper 1 carries 1 mark.
2. For each correct answer, you earn 1 mark.
3. For each incorrect answer, there is a penalty of 0.25 marks. This negative marking applies to each incorrect response.
4. Unanswered questions do not result in any negative marking. It's better to leave questions unanswered if you are unsure rather than guessing and incurring negative marks.

How to Calculate Marks Using SSC JE Answer Key 2025?

To calculate marks using the SSC JE Answer Key 2025, use the official marking scheme for Paper 1 and apply a simple formula.

1. Download the SSC JE Paper 1 answer key and your response sheet from ssc.gov.in.
2. Count total correct answers (C) and total incorrect answers (W) from all sections combined (Reasoning, GA, Engineering).​
3. Calculate positive marks: Positive Marks = C×1.​
4. Calculate negative marks: Negative Marks = W×0.25
5. Apply the formula to get your expected Paper 1 score (before normalisation):

Paper 1 Score=C−(W×0.25)Paper 1 Score=C−(W×0.25)

Example-

Suppose you attempted 180 questions, with 140 correct and 40 wrong.

• Positive marks = 140×1=140
• Negative marks = 40×0.25=10
• Expected Paper 1 score = 140−10=130 out of 200 (before normalisation and final result processing)

After the SSC JE Tier 1 Answer Key 2025 is released, candidates should first calculate their probable score, then use the objection window if needed, and finally wait for the result and cut-off to know whether they are shortlisted for Tier 2. SSC will declare the SSC Junior Engineer Result 2025 in PDF format on ssc.gov.in along with category-wise cut-off marks for each post. The final merit for Tier 2 shortlisting will be based on normalised marks calculated from the revised (final) answer key only.
