The official SSC JE 2026 Notification PDF for the SSC JE Exam 2026 will be released by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) in March 2026 for Junior Engineers at various positions for various Ministries/ Departments/Organisations in the Government of India. SSC JE Age Limit 2026

SSC has set certain age limits for the candidates to appear for the SSC JE Exam. Candidates need proper age proof for applying; false or misleading information will lead to disqualification. The age limit is up to 32 years for JE (E) and JE (C) of the Central Public Works Department. For the rest of the organisation and the position of JE, the age limit is up to 30 years. SSC JE Nationality 2026

The candidate must have the required nationality to be eligible for the SSC JE Exam 2026. They must provide the document which provides proof of nationality. Candidates must come from one of the following nationalities to take the exam.

• a resident of India, or
• a subject of Nepal, or
• A subject of Bhutan or
• a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to permanently set in India.

SSC JE Education Qualification 2026

Candidates need specific education qualifications to apply for the SSC JE Exam 2026. The education requirement of the applicant varies from organisation to position. Candidates will have to provide the original certificates at the time of document verification. The degrees should be certified by a recognised university.

The programmes in engineering, medicine, dental, nursing, pharmacy, architecture and physiotherapy etc. are not permitted to be offered under Open and Distance Learning mode.
