SSC CGL 2025 Eligibility
Not everyone can appear in the SSC CGL Exam, as the commission has set parameters for minimum eligibility criteria including education qualifications, age limit, and nationality. As per this year's notification, the SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria are as follows-

- For Junior Statistical Officer (JSO)- Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University with a minimum 60% in Mathematics in Class 12th
or in any discipline with Statistics as one of the subjects in graduation. - For Statistical Investigator Grade-II- Graduation Degree from any recognized University with Economics Statistics or Mathematics as a compulsory or Elective Subject.
- For Research Assistant in National Human Rights Commission (NHRC)- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute with a minimum of one year of research experience in any recognized university or recognized Research Institution.
- For Remaining posts- Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University.

Nationality
A candidate must be a citizen/subject of either India/Nepal/Bhutan/a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.

SSC CGL 2025 Application Fee
The candidates have to pay Rs. 100/- while submitting their SSC CGL Application Form online at www.ssc.gov.in. Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, and ESM are eligible for reservation and are exempted from payment of application fees. The application fee has to be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, or RuPay Debit cards only.
Steps to Apply for SSC CGL 2025
- Visit the new official website of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) at www.ssc.gov.in.
- On the homepage click on "Apply" under Quick Links.
- Now click on "Apply" against Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2025.
- If you are a new user, then click on "Register Now" and create a new user name/registration number and password for yourself.
- Now login with your Username (Registration Number) and Password and fill in the captcha code carefully.
- Enter the required details in the fields and attach the documents which are asked for in the application form.
- Pay the pre-requisite application fee through online mode via credit/debit/net banking.
- Submit the duly filled application form and download it for future reference.
SSC CGL Selection Process 2025
Two years ago, SSC revised the selection process, and now only two-tier exams will be conducted to shortlist candidates for various Group B and C posts under the SSC CGL Notification 2025. SSC CGL Examination will be conducted in four tiers as indicated below:
Stage 1 Tier-I: Computer-Based Examination (Qualifying in nature).
Stage 2 Tier-II: Paper I (Compulsory for all posts), Paper II for candidates who apply for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.
• All candidates who have applied successfully for the SSC CGL exam, will be assigned Roll numbers and Admit Cards for appearing in the Computer-Based Examination (Tier-I).
• Based on the marks scored in Tier-I, candidates will be shortlisted, category-wise, to appear in Tier-II Examination.
• Separate cut-offs will be released separately for Paper-II of Tier-II (i.e. for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO), and for Paper-I of Tier-II (i.e. for all other posts).
• Tier-II Examinations will be conducted for all the candidates qualified in Tier-I.
• In Tier II, all the candidates will be required to appear in Paper-I and Paper-II. However, only specific candidates shortlisted for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) will be required to appear in Paper-II.
• The final selection list will be prepared on the basis of marks scored by the candidates solely in Paper 2.
