UGC NET - National Eligibility Test is conducted twice in a year for selection of deserving candidates for the posts of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). As per a recent announcement by the HRD Ministry, the examination will now be conducted by the newly formed National Testing Agency (NTA). In fact, UGC NET 2019 June session would be the second exam of the agency.

National Testing Agency (NTA) has released UGC NET 2019 June notification for the post of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). The online application process for UGC NET June 2019 has commenced. UGC NET online application window started on 1st March, 2019. The last date to apply online for UGC NET 2019 June Exam is 31st March 2019.

UGC NET 2019 Exam Dates

Exam dates for UGC NET 2019 has been released with its official notification. The important dates for UGC NET 2019 are as follows:

UGC NET 2019 Online Application

The online application for UGC NET 2019 June has started on 1st March 2019. The last date of online application for UGC NET June exam is 31st March, 2019. No application will be accepted after the last date of submission. The process of online application will consist of four steps. Aspirants should keep in mind the below:

UGC NET Application Fee

The application fee of UGC NET exam 2019 is different for all categories. The application fee is not refundable or transferable once paid. It can be paid through credit/ debit card or e-Challan. All the candidates paying through e-Challan have to make the cash payment in bank. The category-wise fee details are mentioned below:

General: Rs. 800/-
OBC-NCL: Rs. 400/-
SC/ST/PwD: Rs. 200/-

UGC NET 2019 Eligibility

Candidates must apply after reading the eligibility criteria to appear in the UGC NET 2019 exam: Here are the broad pointers:

- For Junior Research Fellowship the upper age limit is 30 years as on 1st June 2019. No age limit is described for the assistant professor.
- Relaxation of 5 years is provided in the upper age limit for OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PwD category.
Relaxation will also be provided to the research experience students.
- Candidates must have the Master’s degree or equivalent from UGC recognized Universities/Institutions.
- The qualifying exam has to be passed in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications and Electronic Science.
- Candidates should have scored 55% marks and 50% marks for reserved category students.
- Candidates, those appearing in the final semester of the master’s degree can also apply.
- 5% relaxation is given to Ph.D degree holders in aggregate marks. Such candidates should have a Master’s degree examination which shall be completed by 19th September 1991.

UGC NET Admit Card 2019 Released

National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the UGC NET Admit Card for 2019 June Exam. All the Eligible Candidates, who had enrolled for the UGC NET 2019 Examination, can download their Admit Card by clicking on the link which will be updated here on 15 May, 2019.
