ISRO Stenographer Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess the required qualifications on or before the closing date of the application.

For Assistant / UDC posts:

  • Candidates must have completed graduation with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale as declared by any recognised university, with a pre-requisite condition that graduation should have been completed within the stipulated duration of the course as prescribed by the university; (AND)
  • Computer proficiency is mandatory

For JPA / Stenographer posts:

  • Candidates must have completed graduation with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale as declared by any recognised university, with a pre-requisite condition that graduation should have been completed within the stipulated duration of the course as prescribed by the university (OR)
  • Diploma in Commercial/Secretarial Practice with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale as declared by any recognised board/university, with a pre-requisite condition that the diploma should have been completed within the stipulated duration of the course as prescribed by the university;
  • One year of experience as a steno-typist/stenographer (AND)
  • A minimum speed of 60 w.p.m. in English stenography; (AND)
  • Candidates must also be proficient with a computer.

Candidates must possess the required qualifications on or before the closing date of the application.

Age Limit (as on 16/08/2026)

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 28 years
  • Age Relaxation: Applicable as per government norms – up to 31 years for OBC candidates and up to 33 years for SC/ST candidates, with additional relaxation for PwBD and other eligible categories.

ISRO Salary Structure 2026

Candidates selected through ISRO recruitment will be appointed in Level 4 of the Pay Matrix with a starting basic pay of Rs 25,500 per month.
