The ISRO Assistant/UDC Written Exam will include a total of 200 objective-type questions. Each question carries 1 mark, making a total of 200 marks. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. The time duration for the exam is 150 minutes.

ISRO Salary Structure 2026
Candidates selected through ISRO posts will be appointed in Level 4 of the Pay Matrix with a starting basic pay of Rs 25,500 per month. In addition to the basic salary, employees will receive allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance (TA) as per Central Government rules.

ISRO Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must possess the required qualifications on or before the closing date of the application.
For Assistant / UDC posts:
- Candidates must have completed graduation with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale as declared by any recognised university, with a pre-requisite condition that graduation should have been completed within the stipulated duration of the course as prescribed by the university; (AND)
- Computer proficiency is mandatory
For JPA / Stenographer posts:
- Candidates must have completed graduation with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale as declared by any recognised university, with a pre-requisite condition that graduation should have been completed within the stipulated duration of the course as prescribed by the university (OR)
- Diploma in Commercial/Secretarial Practice with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale as declared by any recognised board/university, with a pre-requisite condition that the diploma should have been completed within the stipulated duration of the course as prescribed by the university;
- One year of experience as a steno-typist/stenographer (AND)
- A minimum speed of 60 w.p.m. in English stenography; (AND)
- Candidates must also be proficient with a computer.

Age Limit (as on 16/08/2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 28 years
- Age Relaxation: Applicable as per government norms – up to 31 years for OBC candidates and up to 33 years for SC/ST candidates, with additional relaxation for PwBD and other eligible categories.
