West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) has released the detailed notification for the Clerkship Examination, 2024 against Advt. No. 12/2024. WBPSC Clerkship Examination is held for recruitment of candidates to the post of Lower Division Assistant/Lower Division Clerk and other equivalent clerical posts in the Secretariat, Directorates, District Offices and Regional Offices of West Bengal.

West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) has announced that the online registration has started on 6 October 2026 and the last date to apply is 1 November 2026.

WBPSC Clerkship Exam Date 2026

The Part-I examination is tentatively scheduled for December 2026. Candidates who qualify in Part-I will be shortlisted for Part-II. After qualifying in both written stages, candidates will have their elementary computer knowledge and typing ability assessed.

WBPSC Clerkship Application Fee 2026

WBPSC Clerkship Recruitment Exam Pattern 2026

Candidates interested in the WBPSC Clerkship Exam must be aware of the WBPSC Clerkship Exam Pattern for Part 1 and Part 2 examinations. The assessment of computer literacy and typing skills will be conducted after passing Part-I and Part-II exams.

WBPSC Clerkship Part 1 Exam Pattern

• WBPSC Clerkship Exam Part 1 consists of an objective-type test with a total of 100 questions.
• The time duration for the exam will be 90 minutes.
• Each question carries a 01 mark. There shall be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer to MCQ-type questions.
• The questions will be asked in the English and Bengali languages.

WBPSC Clerkship Part 2 Exam Pattern

• WBPSC Clerkship Exam Part 2 will consist of conventional-type questions.
• The time duration for the WBPSC Clerkship Part 2 Exam is 60 minutes.
• In the WBPSC Clerkship Mains exam, questions will be asked on the topics of knowledge of candidates in the subjects of English and Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali/Santali.
