UP Police Computer Operator Selection Process 2026

The selection for UP Police Computer Operator Grade A is based on the following stages:

• Written Exam: Candidates whose applications are found valid will be required to appear in a written examination of 200 marks
• Typing Test: This is a skill test to assess the typing speed of candidates.
• Document Verification and Medical Examination: After clearing the typing test, candidates must verify their original documents to confirm eligibility. After document verification, a medical fitness test will be conducted.

UPPRPB Computer Operator Exam Pattern 2026

The written exam will consist of one objective-type question paper covering General Knowledge, Mental Ability & Reasoning and Computer Science.

• The written examination will be conducted through an OMR-based examination system.
• The duration of the written examination will be 2 hours,
• There are 160 questions asked in the exam.
• Each correct answer gives 1.25 marks.

Those who clear the written exam will be called for the typing test.

UP Police Computer Operator Grade A Typing Test

The typing test for the computer operator is qualifying in nature. Candidates must achieve 85% accuracy to be declared successful. Hindi typing will be conducted in Unicode Inscript, as prescribed by the Board.
