UP Police Computer Operator Grade-A eligibility 2025-26 requires candidates to meet specific educational, age, and nationality criteria as set by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB).

Education Qualification

• The candidates must have to pass Class 12th (Intermediate) with Physics and Mathematics (PCM) from a recognised board.
• Candidate must have an “O” Level certificate from DOEACC or a diploma in Computer Science/IT/Electronics Engineering.

Typing proficiency

30 WPM in English and 25 WPM in Hindi, tested separately for 15 minutes each.

UP Police Computer Operator Selection Process 2025-26

The selection of candidates for the post of Computer Operator will be based on a 2-stage selection process that includes the following stages;

UP Police Computer Operator Exam Pattern 2025

The written examination will be conducted in offline mode. The duration of the examination is two hours. There are a total of 160 questions, each carries 1.25 marks. The maximum marks of the exam are 200.

UP Police Computer Operator Typing Test

Candidates who qualify for the written exam will have to appear for the Typing Test, which is qualifying in nature. The typing test will be held separately for Hindi and English, with 15 minutes allotted for each language.

UP Police Computer Operator Salary 2025-26

The selected candidates will be offered a salary as per the prescribed pay scale of Rs. 5,200 to 20,200 per month, along with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2,400. In addition to the basic pay, employees will receive various government allowances as applicable from time to time. The in-hand salary of the candidates is expected to range between Rs. 25,500 and Rs. 81,100 per month, depending on factors such as posting location, allowances, and government norms.
