The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national-level board of education in India, under the Union Government, responsible for conducting the Common Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Exam twice a year for lakhs of candidates interested in beginning their careers in the teaching sector. CTET Registration 2026 is open only for the candidates who started the registrtaion process but did not complete or submit. 

CTET Application Form 2026 Reopened

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a national-level eligibility test which is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to determine the eligibility of candidates for teacher posts for Classes 1 to 8. The CTET 2026 Notification for Feb 2026 cycle, along with the CTET Application Form 2026, was released, and around 25,30,581 applications were received, and around 3,53,218 candidates applied a day before the deadline, while 4,14,981 applied on the last day itself. 

CTET Apply Online 2026

The board has received applications from around 1,61,127 candidates who could complete their applications, and considering the same, CTET Registration has been reopened for these candidates. Candidates must remember that they must submit the fees for the CTET Application Form 2026 within a specific time frame released by the official. Make sure to keep all the deadlines in mind to avoid missing any events.

CTET Application Form 2026 Link

The online application portal for accepting the CTET Application Form 2026 has reopened from 27th December 2025 onwards at https://ctet.nic.in. The candidates can now fill out their application form correctly and submit their application forms till 30th December 2025 for the CTET exam. Do keep in mind that no registration form will be accepted offline or by any other means except online mode. Candidates can also use the direct link provided below to apply online.

CTET Application Form Fees 2026

The application form for CTET 2026 will be submitted successfully only when the required application fee is submitted. Check the below table to get an idea of what amount of fee you have to pay as per your category. The application fee differs for those who want to apply for both papers 1 and 2.

  • Online Mode of Payment: The fee payment can be done through a Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking.
  • Offline Mode of Payment: The candidates can submit their application fee through E-Challan by depositing the prescribed fee in the CTET Exam Fee Account with Syndicate Bank or Canara Bank.

Steps to Fill CTET Application Form 2026

The candidates who are interested in applying for CTET 2026 must follow the steps below to submit their CTET Application Form 2026. Candidates are advised to keep the scanned copies of their essential documents ready while filling out the online form. 

  1. Open the official portal of CTET 2026 i.e. https://ctet.nic.in.
  2. The homepage of the website appears on the screen. Click on “Apply for CTET 2026”.
  3. A new window will appear on your screen. If you are a new user, Click on the "New Registration" button to register yourself. Otherwise, fill in your details and click on the "SIGN IN" button.
  4. Fill in all the required details: Candidate's Name, Mother’s Name, Father’s Name, and Date of Birth in capital letters.
  5. Now choose the Exam Centre and the medium of exam for CTET 2026 in which you want to attempt the paper (English/Hindi).
  6. Enter your Aadhar card number, choose your gender, and category, and finally select the status of Employment and the status of the Qualifying Exam.
  7. Now fill in your educational qualification (the most recent qualification you hold), your percentage, etc.
  8. After that, you are required to provide your communication address, phone number, and email ID.
  9. Upload your photo and signature. Both the images must be in jpg/jpeg format and must have a white background.
  10. You will be directed to the payment page. The payment can be made for the CTET 2026 Exam through online or offline mode.
  11. Click on the “SUBMIT” button. Download the confirmation page for future reference.

NOTE: The candidate particulars can be edited till the payment of fees has not been made. Once the payment of fees has been made, candidate particulars cannot be edited at this stage. Thereafter corrections can be made only during the period in which online correction will be allowed as per the given schedule of the CTET February exam.

Important Instruction for Photograph and Signature

While filling out the CTET Online Form 2026, candidates need to upload their photographs and signatures in a prescribed format which has been discussed in detail below. 

  • The scanned images of the latest photographs and signature should be in jpg/jpeg format.
  • The size of the photograph and signature must be of the following dimensions.
