The APPSC Group 2 Recruitment 2026 Notification has been released on 13 October 2026 to recruit eligible candidates for 686 executive and non-executive vacancies across Andhra Pradesh. The online application process will start from 10 November 2026 onwards at www.psc.ap.gov.in. The selection of eligible candidates for these posts will be done through the APPSC Group 2 exam, which includes three phases: Prelims, Mains, and Computer Proficiency.
What is APPSC Group 2 Exam?
APPSC Group 2 is a state-level competitive examination conducted by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) to recruit candidates for various executive and non-executive posts in the Andhra Pradesh state government departments. APPSC Group 2 Post Preference: Which Posts Should Candidates Choose?

- Hold a relevant computer qualification, such as BCA, B.Sc. (Computer Science), B.Com. (Computers), B.A. (Computers), or B.Tech./B.E. in Computer Science or Information Technology, or an equivalent recognised qualification.

The age of candidates must be between 18 years and 42 years to be eligible for the APPSC Group 2 Recruitment 2026. Age relaxation will be provided to the reserved categories as per the government rules and regulations.

APPSC Group 2 Application Form 2026
The online registration for the APPSC Group 2 Recruitment 2026 will start from 10 November 2026 onwards. Interested candidates have to submit their online application form at the official website https://psc.ap.gov.in within the duration of the online registration process, i.e., 10 to 30 November 2026. Documents to Keep Ready Before Applying
Candidates can prepare their documents in advance to avoid last-minute problems during online registration.

APPSC Group 2 Application Fee 2026
The candidates are required to pay the application fees in the online mode for the successful submission of their application form. Candidates belonging to the General Category have to pay an application fee of Rs. 330/-, whereas candidates belonging to SC, ST, BC, PH & Ex-Service Men Categories will pay Rs. 250/- as an application fee. APPSC Group 2 Selection Process 2026
The candidates will be selected for APPSC Group 2 services through prelims, mains, and computer proficiency tests. The APPSC Group 2 Prelims Exam is of screening type and the final merit list will comprise of the marks obtained by the candidates in the mains exam. The candidates who got qualified in all stages will be called for a document verification round.

APPSC Group 2 Exam Pattern 2026
The Commission has revised the APPSC Group 2 Exam Pattern for each stage in the selection process. The candidates planning to appear for the upcoming APPSC Group 2 2026 Exam must be familiar with the latest Prelims and Mains Exam Pattern. APPSC Group 2 2026 Prelims Exam Pattern
- APPSC Group 2 Prelims Exam is the screening stage for only shortlisting candidates for the main exam.
- The objective type examination will be held in offline mode (OMR based).
- The exam includes 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
- Now APPSC Group 2 Prelims has questions from General Studies and Mental Ability.
- The topics from General Studies include Indian History, Geography, Indian Society, and Current Affairs. There will be 30 questions from each section.
- There is a negative marking of ⅓rd marks for each wrong answer.
- The time duration of the test will be 150 minutes (2.5 hours).

- All the questions are objective type. The level of the questions is similar to a bachelor’s degree.
- Mains examination will be held in offline mode (OMR-based).

- A negative marking scheme of one-third marks for every wrong answer.

APPSC Group 2 Computer Proficiency Test
- The exam has 2 parts. Each tests a particular area of computer skills of the aspirants.
- The candidates will get 60 minutes to attempt the exam.
- It is a practical exam.
- The minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST/PH is 30, for B.C. is 35 and for O.C. is 40.
