CTET Exam Date 2025 Out Soon: CTET July Exam Schedule and Shift Timings

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). The date for the 21st edition of the CTET exam for the July 2025 session will be announced along with the release of the notification and application forms. Candidates interested in taking the exam must first register for the CTET 2025. The application dates will be provided in the detailed notification PDF. CTET Exam Date 2025

The CTET Exam is a qualifying exam held twice a year to determine the eligibility of candidates as teachers in Central Government Schools such as KVS, NVS, and other schools. The CTET exam comprises two papers. Paper I is for candidates who teach classes I to V, and Paper 2 is for those who want to teach classes 6 to 8. The candidates who are planning to appear for the CTET 2025 exam should level up their preparation to qualify for the exam.

CTET July Exam Date 2025

Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Exam is conducted twice a year, in July and December. The exam date for the CTET July session in 2025 has not been announced yet. The official notification, which will contain the exact exam date and additional details, is expected to be released soon.

CTET Exam Shift Timings

The exam paper will be held in the morning and evening shifts. Shift 1 will be conducted from 9:30 am to 12 noon, and shift 2 will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

CTET 2025- Exam Timing

The CTET exam will be conducted in two shifts, and candidates must reach the exam center on time. In the 1st shift, CTET Paper II will be conducted, while CTET Paper 1 will be held in the 2nd shift. As per previous year trends, the expected CTET 2025 Exam Timing is mentioned below in the table.

CTET Exam Pattern 2025

Paper I (Class I to V) includes five subjects, Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, 2, Maths, and Environmental Studies, with 30 questions asked from each section, which gives a total of 150 marks.

Paper II (Class VI to VIII) consists of four subjects, Child Development and Pedagogy, Language II, II, and the concerned subject. The candidates have to select one subject between maths, science, and social studies. The concerned discipline subject has the highest weightage of 60 marks whereas the other three sections carry 30 marks each.

Minimum Qualifying Marks in CTET Exam

As CTET is the eligibility exam, and to qualify for the exam, candidates belonging to the general categories have to score 60% of the marks, i.e., 90, and candidates from other categories have to score 82 marks.
