CTET Exam Date 2026 Out (Exam in Feb), Application Form & Notification Soon

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the exam date for the 21st edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). There is no exam in 2025, and the next exam will be conducted in February 2025. The CTET 2026 February for both Paper-I and Paper-II will be conducted on 8th February 2026 (Sunday) at various exam centers in 132 cities across the country.

CTET 2026 Exam Date Out

CTET is a national-level eligibility test conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to determine the eligibility of candidates for teaching careers in central government schools such as KVS, NVS, and other institutions under the Government of India.

There is no CTET exam this year, as the next exam is scheduled for 8th February 2026 (Sunday). The CTET exam is conducted in two phases: Paper 1 for Classes 1 to 5 and Paper 2 for Classes 6 to 8. Each Paper consists of 150 objective-type questions for a total of 150 marks. There is no negative marking for wrong answers.

CTET 2025 Important Dates

The detailed CTET 2025 Notification/Information Bulletin containing details of the examination, important dates, syllabus, eligibility criteria, examination fee, and examination cities is expected to be released in October/November 2025 at the CTET official website https://ctet.nic.in, but the exam will be conducted on 8th February 2025. The CBSE CTET exam will be held in two shifts for Paper 1 and Paper 2 in 20 languages across 132 Indian cities.

CTET 2026 Exam Schedule and Shift Timing

CTET exam comprises two papers, Paper I and Paper II, which are conducted in two separate shifts on the same day. Based on the previous year’s schedule, Paper II will be held in the morning shift from 9:30 am to 12 noon, and Paper I will be held in the evening shift from 2 pm to 4:30 pm.
