Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national education board under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and is responsible for conducting the CTET Examination. CBSE has officially announced the exam date for 21st edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for 8th February 2026 (Sunday). The exam will be conducted offline, in pen and Paper mode at various exam centres across 132 cities across the country.
CBSE CTET Exam Date 2026 Out
There is no exam in 2025, and the next exam will be conducted on 8th February 2026. The CTET Exam will be conducted only for candidates who have successfully registered for the CTET Exam within the registration schedule. Candidates are advised to keep preparing with focus and dedication so that they are ready to perform their best for exam.

CBSE CTET Exam Schedule 2026 and Shift Timing
The CTET exam comprises two papers, Paper I and Paper II, which are conducted in two separate shifts on the same day. Based on the previous year’s schedule, Paper II will be held in the morning shift from 9:30 am to 12 noon, and Paper I will be held in the evening shift from 2 pm to 4:30 pm.

Who Can Appear for the CTET Feb Exam 2026?
Only those candidates who have successfully completed the online registration process (filling the CTET application form, uploading the required documents, and paying the application fee) within the specified time frame set by CBSE. Along with completing the CTET Eligibility Criteria for Paper 1 and Paper 2 as per the notification. Candidates with incomplete registration or unpaid fees are not allowed to appear for the CTET exam.
Candidates who completed the eligibility conditions and whose application status is accepted by CBSE will be issued the CTET City Intimation Slip and CTET Admit card. An admit card is mandatory to appear in the examination.
CTET 2026 Admit Card
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will release the CTET Hall Ticket 2 days before the exam date i.e. 6th February 2026, at its official website www.ctet.nic.in. The Admit Card includes information such as exam date, timing, exam venue, shift timing etc. Candidates should keep their login details i.e. Application Number and Password or Date of Birth (DOB), handy while downloading their respective hall ticket.
Important Instructions for CTET Registered Candidates
- CTET City Intimation Slip for exam city information will be available 10 days before the exam in the candidate’s login portal
- Admit cards can be downloaded 2 days before the exam from the portal
- The CTET Exam will be conducted in offline OMR mode
- Candidates must ensure to reach the exam centre on reporting time as mentioned in the admit card
- To the exam hall, candidates must carry a copy of the admit card and a valid photo ID proof
- Plan your travel early, as some centres may fall in high-traffic or remote locations
