Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has released the notification PDF for the recruitment to 166 vacancies in various Group-I Services posts. Interested and eligible candidates first have to complete One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) and submit the application form online through the official website www.psc.ap.gov.in. As per the schedule, the last date to apply online is 27 October 2026 (11:59 pm). The APPSC Group 1 Screening Test is scheduled for 24 January 2027.

APPSC Group 1 Exam Date 2026 Out
After the completion of the application process, the officials will conduct the first stage of the selection process, i.e., a screening test. The APPSC Group 1 Exam Date 2026 for the screening test has been announced by the officials along with the release of the notification. The exam will be conducted on 24 January 2026 at multiple exam centres across the state.

APPSC Group 1 Eligibility Criteria 2026

APPSC Group 1 Educational Qualification
The candidates must be a graduate of any recognised university in India. Some posts require additional qualifications. Check the special educational qualifications as mentioned below.

APPSC Group 1 Online Form 2026
The APPSC Group 1 online application process is ongoing at the official website www.psc.ap.gov.in. Candidates can apply online through the Commission's website and must complete the application by 27 October 2026, up to 11:59 pm. Candidates applying for APPSC recruitment for the first time must first complete One Time Profile Registration (OTPR).

Steps to Apply Online for APPSC Group 1 2026
For applying to any APPSC exam, candidates have to follow the steps given below:
- Go to the official website www.psc.ap.gov.in.
- Complete the One-Time Profile Registration (OTPR) process
- On the page that opens up, click on New Registration for Direct Recruitment
- The candidates will have to enter the following information: Aadhaar Details, Basic Details, Address Details, Educational Qualifications, Photo and Signature Upload, etc
- Review the entered information carefully and click on Submit
- The Reference Id will be generated and displayed on a screen
- Go to Login page and enter your credentials
- Fill the details asked in the form and verify them
- Submit the application and complete the payment process
- After payment is successful, the payment reference id will be generated
- Submit the form and save/print the application receipt
- Use the application receipt for any future reference/correspondence
APPSC Group 1 Selection Process 2026
The selection process consists of three stages:
Stage 1 – Screening Test: The objective Screening Test is conducted to shortlist candidates for the Main Examination. APPSC will admit candidates to the Main Written Examination at a ratio of 50 candidates for every vacancy, irrespective of community.
Stage 2 – Main Written Examination: Candidates shortlisted through the Screening Test must appear in all papers of the Main Examination. Absence in any paper will lead to disqualification.
Stage 3 – Interview/Personality Test: Candidates who qualify for the main examination will be called for the interview/personality test. Candidates are called for interview at a ratio of 1:2 with reference to the number of vacancies, subject to the provisions specified in the notification.

APPSC Group 1 Prelims Exam Pattern 2026
The prelims exam is only qualifying in nature and the marks scored in this round will not be included in the final merit list of APPSC Group 1. There is negative marking in the Screening Test. For every wrong answer, one-third of the marks prescribed for that question will be deducted.

The Telugu and English papers are qualifying in nature and their marks are not counted for merit. The official notification specifies the five merit papers plus the 75-mark Interview, giving a total of 825 marks.
