How to apply for NVS Exam

NVS 2017

NVS 2017 will be organized to select candidates for the post of Principal, TGT, PGT, Assistant Commissioners etc. NVS Notification 2017 will be released soon. Candidates are required to clear CTET 2017 in order to be eligible for NVS 2017 Exam.

NVS or NavodayaVidyalayaSamiti is an autonomous organization under the ministry of Human Resourced Development, Government of India. It is a unique experiment unparalleled in the history of schooling in India. The significance of NVS lies in providing rural students with quality education. Free education and free boarding and lodging has made NVS a unique institute to train young and talented brains that are deprived of these facilities.

NVS has recently released notification to select eligible candidates to the post of Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Lab Assistant, Stenographer etc. NVS Online Application for this post have now started and the last date to apply for these post is 13th December 2017. NVS Recruitment 2017

The recruitment process of NVS 2017 will start once NVS Notification 2017 has been released. Candidates will be selected through a written exam and an interview process. The official notification will be released for NVS Recruitment 2017 to various posts such as:

• Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)

• Trained Graduate Teacher (Miscellaneous)

• Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)

• Assistant Commissioners

• Principal

NVS Vacancies 2017

As per NVS Notification 2016-17, a total of 2312 vacancies were filled through NVS Exam. The vacancy is expected to be same for this year as well. The exact number of vacancies will be revealed once the official notification of NVS 2017 has been released.

NVS Salary 2017

The teachers appointed through NVS Exam are paid handsomely by the Government. Allowances, admissible under the rules are enforced time to time apart from the basic salary paid to teacher and other staffs.

As per the 7th pay commission, the salary structure of the multiple posts is mentioned below:

• TGT and TGT (Miscellaneous): Rs. 44,900/-

• PGT: Rs. 47,600/-

• Principal and Assistant Commissioner: Rs. 78,800/-

NVS 2017 Exam Dates

The Exam Dates for NVS 2017 will be declared once the official notification for the same has been released. The tentative dates for the commencement of NVS 2017 written exam is in the month of December 2017. Candidates are required to visit the page regularly in order to remain updated about the upcoming exam dates for NVS 2017 Exam.

NVS 2017 Exam Pattern

NVS 2017 Exam will be conducted in two phases:

• Online Written Exam

• Interview Process

Candidates need to clear CTET 2017 Exam in order to be eligible for NVS 2017 Exam. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of score obtained by candidate in both Written exam and the Interview Process.

No interview Process is conducted for the candidates selected for the post of TGT.

(i) For the post of Assistant Commissioner:

General Paper   COMMON PAPER FOR ALL POSTS OF PGTs, TGTs, Miscellaneous and TGTs (III Language): Objective type multiple choice questions on General English & Hindi (40:20+20), General Awareness (30), General Intelligence, Numerical Ability & Reasoning (30) , Teaching Aptitude (20) and concerned subject knowledge (80). The difficulty level of the question papers for PGTs will be of Post-Graduation standard and for TGTs and others it will be of Graduation standard. 200 Marks/ 2 hrs 30 minutes

NVS 2017 Application Fee

A candidate is required to pay Rs. 1500/- as their application fee if they are applying for the post of Principal and Assistant Commissioner. If a candidate is applying for the post of TGT, he/she is required to pay Rs. 1000/- as application fee. Rs. 1000/- is required to be paid by candidates applying for the post of TGT/Miscellaneous/Regional Language Teacher.

NVS 2017 Eligibility Criteria

Post Educational Qualification
ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER Master's Degree in Humanities/Science/Commerce from the recognized institute/university Desirable Experience in the residential school system and research work done in the field of education.
PRINCIPAL Master's degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks. B.Ed or equivalent teaching degree. At least 3-year experience as House Master of a fully residential school. Proficiency in English & Hindi/concerned Regional language.

NVS 2017 Syllabus

Candidates are required to go through the detailed syllabus before starting their preparation for NVS 2017 Exam. The syllabus will enable them to prepare judiciously for the upcoming NVS Exam without any glitch.

NVS 2017 Admit Card

The Admit Card for NVS 2017 Exam will be assigned to every candidate who applies for NVS 2017 Exam. An e-hall ticket will be generated for each applicant. Candidates are required to download their admit card from the official website as admit card won’t be sent via post. The admit card for the written exam will be released first followed by the call letter for the interview process (for candidates selected through written exams).

NVS 2017 Result

The results for NVS 2017 Exam will be released after the completion of each stage of examination. The result for written exam will be declared first. Candidates selected through written exam will be called for the interview process. A final merit list will be prepared for candidates clearing the Interview Process. Note:For TGT/miscellaneous/Regional language teacher, selection is done on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the written examination only as no Interview Process is conducted for the candidates applying for this post.

NVS 2017 Cut-Off

The cut-off will be generated after the results have been declared. Candidates can tally their score with the cut-off marks and can get a fair idea of their selection chances in NVS Exam.
