IB Security Assistant Syllabus 2023: The Ministry of Home Affairs has recently announced direct recruitment for the positions of Security Assistant/Executive and Multi-tasking Staff. There are a total of 677 vacancies available, making this a great opportunity for 10th-grade graduates looking for a government job. IB Security Assistant (SA) Syllabus 2023

The selection process of IB recruitment is based on three levels, that is, Tier- I, II, and III. Tier I is an Online objective-based type Multiple Choice question. Tier II is an offline exam of descriptive type whereas Tier III is a Personality based test. IB Security Assistant Selection Process

The selection criteria for IB Recruitment 2023 include 3 levels as mentioned in the notification-

Tier Description Marks
Tier 1- Common for SA/Exe & MTS/Gen Online Exam of Objective type MCQs 100
Tier 2- Part I (Common for SA/Exe & MTS/Gen) Offline Exam of Descriptive type 40
Tier 2- Part II (only for SA/Exe) Spoken ability 10
Tier 3 Interview/Personality test 50

Note- The Tier-II exam is qualifying in nature. The qualifying marks in Tier-2 is 20 out of 50 for SA/Exe and 16 out of 40 for MTS/Gen.

IB Security Assistant and MTS Exam Pattern 2023

The exam pattern for IB Security Assistant & MTS Tier 1 Exam has been discussed here.

1. The duration of the online exam will be 60 minutes (1 hour).

2. The exam pattern is slightly changed and now there are 5 sections in the exam.

3. There will be 100 MCQs asked in the CBT (Tier 1) Exam.

4. There is a negative marking of ¼ mark for each wrong answer.

IB Security Assistant & MTS Syllabus 2023- Tier 2

The candidates qualifying in the Tier-1 exam will have to appear for Tier-2 Exam which is further divided into 2 parts.

Part 1 (Common for all candidates)- Translation of a passage of 500 words from the local language/dialect to English and vice versa. This offline descriptive test will be of 40 marks and the duration for the exam will be 1 hour.

Part 2 (Only for SA/Exe.)- Spoken ability [to be assessed at the time of Tier-III exam (Interview/ Personality test)]

The Tier-II exam is qualifying in nature. The qualifying marks in Tier-2 is 20 out of 50 for SA/Exe and 16 out of 40 for MTS/Gen.

IB Security Assistant & MTS Tier 3 (Interview)

The candidates who qualify in Tier 1 & Tier 2 exams will be called for an interview round which will be conducted by the Intelligence Bureau for 50 marks. This will be the final stage of the selection process and candidates qualifying in this stage will be shortlisted to fill 1675 vacancies.
