Candidates applying for the Andhra Pradesh Staff Nurse Recruitment 2026 must follow the steps given below to complete their application form:

1. On your device’s internet browser, visit the official website of the AP Health Department, cfw.ap.nic.in
2. You will find the official notification and the application form attached to it.
3. Download the application form and take a printout of it.
4. Now fill in your application form in English with personal, educational, and category details.
5. Paste a passport-size colour photograph on the top corner.
6. Attach the required documents of Educational certificates, Nursing Council, category and experience certificates.
7. Candidates must attach the application fee Demand Draft with the application form, in favour of “the concerned Regional Director of Medical & Health Services (Concerned Zone- Guntur)”.

Andhra Pradesh Staff Nurse Selection Process 2026

The AP Staff Nurse Selection Process 2026 is completely merit-based. There is no written examination. The final merit list is prepared out of 100 marks, in which 75 marks are allotted for academic performance, 10 marks for experience and 15 marks for contract/outsource/honorarium service. The selection process is mentioned below:

1. Academic Marks: In this, 75% weightage will be given to the aggregate of marks obtained by candidates in GNM or B.Sc. Marks obtained in all qualifying exams will be considered in this section.
2. Experience Weightage: For this section, candidates get 10 marks for their post-qualification experience. For each year of experience, candidates get 1 mark till the date of publication of the notification.
3. Contract/Outsource/Honorarium Service Weightage: Candidates who have worked on a contract, outsourcing, or honorarium service, even during the COVID-19 period, will get upto 15 % from this section.
4. Area-wise Weightage: Candidates will get marks based on their specific area of service. In this, 2.5 marks per 6 months are given for Tribal areas, 2.0 marks per 6 months for Rural areas, and 1.0 mark per 6 months is given for Urban areas.
5. COVID-19 Service Benefit: Candidates who have rendered their service during COVID-19 will get additional weightage of marks. If their service is less than 6 months, they will get 0.8 marks per completed month.

Note: Candidates who are claiming service weightage must submit original service certificates in the enclosed form, which are issued by the competent authority, along with a copy of appointment orders.

AP Staff Nurse Salary 2026

The salary of the staff nurse starts at approximately Rs. 34,000 per month. Candidates selected through this recruitment are appointed on a contract basis. Initially, their tenure is for 1 year from the date of joining, but later on, they may be extended for a further period as per the government instructions.
