SSC GD 2026 Exam Postponed, Check Revised Exam Date, Admit Card and City Intimation Dates

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially postponed the SSC GD Constable Examination 2026, which was earlier scheduled to begin on 23rd February 2026. The commission has released an official notice regarding the postponement of the exam on its official website www.ssc.gov.in and also notified that the new dates will be announced shortly, and no slot booking will be conducted for this exam.

Around 35 lakh candidates have submitted their applications for the SSC GD Examination 2026, and some of them might be confused about whether the exam will be conducted or not. The candidates need not worry as the exam will definitely be conducted, but on revised dates which are expected to be announced very soon.

SSC GD Exam Date 2026

SSC GD 2026 exam to be conducted for recruitment to 25,487 Constable (General Duty) posts in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), Secretariat Security Force (SSF), and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, will now be held on revised dates. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will be shortly releasing the new schedule on its official website www.ssc.gov.in.

SSC GD City Intimation & Admit Card Release Date

SSC has clarified the timeline for the release of exam city intimation slips and admit cards. As mentioned in the official notice, the exam city slips with scheduled exam date, shift and city will be released around 8 to 10 days before the exam date and admit cards will be released 2 to 3 days before the scheduled exam date.

Candidates will need to use their Registration ID / Roll Number and Date of Birth to download their city slips and admit card from the official SSC website (www.ssc.gov.in).

IS SSC GD Slot Booking Cancelled?

Yes, now the SSC GD Slot Booking portal will not be opened for SSC GD 2026 Exam. As per the latest notice released by the Staff Selection Commission, no slot selection will be done for the SSC GD Examination cycle, and the commission will itself allot the exam city and shifts.
