How to Calculate Your Marks?

Download Response Sheet → Match Question IDs → Compare Answers → Count Correct/Incorrect → Calculate Estimated Score

Candidates can match the answers that they marked in the examination with the answers released by the exam authority as the official answer key and response sheet is now published. This helps them find out their right and wrong answers and also find out their estimated marks before the RRB Group D result is announced..

  1. Compare the option you chose with the correct option provided in the official answer key.
    • No. of Correct, Incorrect and Unanswered Questions
    • Then compare all your answers and divide them into three groups: Right answers, wrong answers, and questions not attempted.
This makes the calculation of marks a lot easier.
  2. The basic calculation is:
Estimated Score = (Number of Correct Answers * Marks per Question) - (Number of Incorrect Answers * Negative Marks).

For example, say an exam awards 1 mark for a correct answer and deducts ⅓rd mark for a wrong answer.

Correct: 60 × 1 = 60 marks
Wrong: 20 * 0.333 = 6.66 marks deducted
Final Score: 60 − 6.6 = 53.4 marks

If the examination uses normalisation, the final score may differ from this raw score.

RRB Group D Marks Normalisation

RRB Group D marks are normalised when the Computer Based Test (CBT) is conducted in multiple shifts to account for differences in the difficulty level of question papers across shifts. The normalisation process ensures that candidates from different shifts are assessed on a comparable basis. Therefore, the raw marks calculated using the answer key may differ from the final normalised score used for further selection.

What Happens After the Objection Window?

The Railway Recruitment Boards review the objections received during the prescribed period and prepare the final answer key. Based on which the result will be prepared. After the objection process:

Provisional Answer Key → Objections → Review → Final Answer Key → Result → Physical Efficiency Test → DV → DME
