UGC NET Answer Key 2026 Out, Download Subject-wise Response Sheet PDF

National Test Agency (NTA) has officially released the UGC NET Answer Key and question paper with recorded responses of the UGC-NET December 2025 Examination at the official website www.ugcnet.nta.ac.in. Candidates who appeared in the exam can download the answer key and raise objection if any, till 17th January 2026 (11:50 pm).  To download the response sheet, the candidates need their application number and password or date of birth as per the admission certificate.

UGC NET Answer Key 2026 Out

The UGC NET is a national-level exam conducted twice a year by the National Test Agency (NTA) to determine eligibility for Assistant Professorships, Junior Research Fellowships, or both for Indian Universities and Colleges. The exam consists of two papers- I and II. There were 150 multiple-choice questions asked for a total of 300 multiple-choice questions. Candidates can match their response with the help of UGC NET Answer Key 2026, by adding 02 marks for each correct answer, and there is no negative marking in the UGC NET Exam.

Step 1- Visit the official website of UGC NET, i.e., www.ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

Step 2- On the homepage, click on “UGC NET December Answer Key Challenge” under the candidate’s activity section.

Step 3- After this, a new page appears with Login Options “Through Application Number and Password” and ” Through Application Number and Date of Birth”

Step 4- Click on any of these and enter the required credentials per the admission certificate.

Step 5- The UGC NET Answer Key PDF 2026 appears on the screen.

UGC NET Answer Key 2026- Raise Objection

UGC has also provided an opportunity to raise objections for the candidates who are not satisfied with the responses released through the UGC NET Answer Key 2026. The candidates can raise objections, if any, with proper proof to challenge them along with the provisional UGC NET Answer key by 17th January 2026. The candidates have to pay a fee per challenge through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI Payment modes.

Steps to Raise Objections to UGC NET Answer Key 2026

To raise objections to the UCG NET Answer Key 2026, candidates can follow the steps provided below.

1. Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth. Enter your Security PIN as displayed, then click on the submit button.
2. Click on “View Question Paper” for marked responses and to view or challenge the Answer keys.
3. You will see Question IDs in sequential order.
4. The ID next to the question under the column ‘Correct Option(s)’ stands for the correct Answer Key to be used by NTA.
5. If candidates want to challenge this option, they may use any one or more of the Option IDs given
6.  In the next four columns, by clicking the check box.
7. After clicking your desired option, scroll down to ‘Save your Claims’ and move to the next.
8. You will see a display of all the Option IDs you have challenged.
9. You may want to upload supporting documents in which you can select ‘Choose File’ and upload (all documents are to be put in a single PDF file only)
10. Click on ‘Save your Claims and pay fee’ or, in case you want to modify the claims, click on ‘Modify your Claims’.
11. After saving the claims, you will find a screen displaying your challenges.
12. Kindly pay the fee by clicking on ‘Pay Fee. ’
13. The claims will be saved after the successful payment of the required fee.
14. Select your Mode of Payment and pay a non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 200/- for each question challenged.
