The National Test Agency (NTA) has released the UGC NET Result December 2025 on its official website www.ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The UGC NET December 2025 Exam was held for over 8 days, for which lakhs of candidates who have appeared in the eligibility test can now check their results and their qualifying status. The result has been released in the form of a scorecard. Candidates will require their Application Number & Date of Birth to check their results and download score cards.

The Exam was conducted by the National Test Agency from 31st December 2025 to 7th January 2026 for which the UGC NET Result December 2025 can now be checked from the National Test Agency official website www.ugcnet.nta.nic.in along with the UGC NET December Score Card 2025. The qualifying marks for General (Unreserved) / General-EWS category candidates are 40% (in both papers 1 & 2), and for reserved categories (viz., SC, ST, OBC (belonging to Non-Creamy Layer), PwD, and Third gender), the qualifying marks are 35%. The validity of UGC NET Scores remains valid for a lifetime.

To check the UGC NET December Result 2025, candidates have to visit the official website of the University Grants Commission (UGC) NET, i.e., https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in/. To check the results, candidates can follow the steps provided below.

1. Visit the official website of the National Test Agency at https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in/.
2. On the homepage, click on “UGC NET December Score Card 2025”.
3. Enter your Application Number, Date of Birth, and the Security Pin as shown on the screen.
4. Your UGC NET December Result 2025 with subject-wise marks is displayed on your screen.
5. Download your scorecard and keep it for future reference.

UGC NET Result 2025 Certificate Validity

The UGC NET certificate for Assistant Professor (Lectureship) is valid for a lifetime. However, the UGC NET JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) award letter is valid for three years from the date of issuance. The UGC NET certificate is a mandatory requirement for applying to Assistant Professor positions in Indian universities and colleges. 

• Assistant Professor/Lectureship: The UGC NET certificate for this position is valid for a lifetime.
• JRF (Junior Research Fellowship): The JRF award letter is valid for three years from the date it is issued.
