OSSTET Result 2026 Qualifying Marks

The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, maintains minimum qualifying marks category-wise. If a candidate aspires to excel in the OSSTET Exam 2026, they have to score a minimum of marks. The minimum marks are almost similar for all the subjects based on the category. Candidates from the General category will have to score a minimum of 45% marks (68 out of 150). The qualifying marks for all the categories are mentioned below.

What’s Next After OSSTET Result 2026?

After the declaration of the OSSTET Result, qualified candidates become eligible to apply for teacher recruitment in Odisha. The OSSTET certificate is mandatory for government teacher recruitment notifications. However, qualifying for OSSTET does not guarantee a job. Candidates must apply separately for recruitment exams conducted by the state government.

Candidates who want to apply for Education Teachers (Trained Graduate Teachers in Science/ Arts, Hindi/ Classical Teachers (Sanskrit/ Urdu/Telugu)) have to qualify for the OSSTET Paper 1 Exam, and candidates who are preparing for Physical Education Teacher and want to apply in the upcoming recruitment, have to qualify for OSSTET Paper 2.

OSSTET Exm is a state-level exam aimed at individuals aspiring to pursue a career in the teaching profession. The OSSTET Pass Certificate will remain valid until the candidate reaches the maximum age limit set for teacher recruitment, as per government regulations. There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take to acquire an OSSTET Certificate. Candidates are also granted the opportunity to reappear for the exam to enhance their scores.
