Step 3: A new page appears on the screen. Click on the link “One Time Registration (OTR) for Examinations.”

Step 4: A new tab appears on the screen if candidates are not registered already. Register and create your profile by clicking on “New Registration” and entering your valid email ID and mobile number.

Step 5: After completing the registration or if already registered, the candidate has to log in with their registration number, which is provided during the registration process.

OSSSC Forest Guard & Forester Selection Process 2026

The candidates who will be applying for the OSSSC Forest Guard Vacancy 2026 have to go through a selection process to be selected. The selection process will include the following stages;

Stage 1- Written Test: OSSSC will conduct the OSSSC written examination for Forest Guard and Forester Posts. On the basis of the written examination, candidates will be shortlisted for the next phase of the selection process i.e. Physical Exam.

Stage 2- Physical Test (Physical Measurement Test/ Physical Efficiency Test): On the basis of the candidate’s performance in the OSSSC Written examination as per the merit list, 3 times the number of total vacancies will be called to appear for the Physical tests.

Stage 3- Document Verification: Qualified candidates in the Physical examination will be called for Document Verification, where candidates have to provide their original documents in order to verify the information submitted by them in the application forms.

OSSSC Forest Guard & Forester Exam Pattern 2026

The candidates who apply for OSSSC Recruitment 2026 for Forest Guard and Forester posts must be aware of the updated exam pattern for the online exam.

• The written exam consists of objective-type multiple-choice questions.
• The exam contains a total of 100 questions for 100 marks.
• There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for wrong answers.
• The total time duration for the exam will be 90 minutes.
• The standard of the exam will be high school/10th class.

Minimum Qualifying Marks

To qualify for the OSSSC Combined Recruitment Examination-2025 (II) for the posts of Forester, Forest Guard, candidates have to score a minimum qualifying mark as set by the exam authority.

• ST, SC, PwD, Ex-Servicemen, and Sportsperson – 30%.
• Others – 35%.

OSSSC Forest Guard & Forester Physical Test 2026

OSSSC Forest Guard & Forester Physical Test involves two parts: the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for running and the Physical Standard Test (PST) for height and chest (males).

OSSSC Physical Measurement Test

On the basis of the candidate’s performance in OSSSC Forest Guard Written Examination and as per merit-based 03 times of the number of vacancies, candidates will be called to appear for the OSSSC Forest Guard  Physical MeasurementTest. PMT Test is qualifying in nature and candidates who do not fulfill the laid down physical efficiency test, i.e., Height and Chest will be eliminated from the recruitment process.

OSSSC Physical Efficiency Test 2026

Candidates who qualify for the Physical Measurement Test will be eligible to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test. PET test will be done through candidates’ performances as per the following parameters.

Selected candidates for the post of Forest Guard and Forester will be paid a monthly salary as mentioned below. Candidates appointed for the Forest Guard posts will be paid Rs 19,900 /-, and candidates who will be appointed for Forester posts will be provided Rs 25,500/.
