KVS TGT Selection Process 2025

From this year onwards, the selection process for KVG TGT shall be a tier exam followed by an Interview. Tier 1 Exam (Objective) is qualifying in nature, and Tier 2 (Objective + Descriptive) depends on the subject chosen. The final merit of candidates will be determined by the marks obtained in Tier-2 and the Interview, with a weightage is 85% and 15% respectively.

KVS TGT Exam Pattern 2025 (Revised)

KVS TGT Exam Pattern 2025 for Tier 1

• Candidates will be given 2 hours to complete the written examination, or we can say the exam duration is 2 hours.
• The Tier 1 exam will be held for a total of 300 marks, consisting of 100 objective-type questions.
• There is negative marking; 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. 
• The exam will be bilingual (English/Hindi).

KVS TGT Exam Pattern 2025 for Tier 2

• In the KVS Tier 2 Exam, questions will be asked from the subjects for which candidates have applied.
• The exam will be held in pen-and-paper (Descriptive) and OMR-Based mode.
• In OMR-based objective-type questions, 1 mark will be given for each correct answer, and there is negative marking. 1/4 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
• The time duration of the exam is 2½ hours without any time limit for each part of the test individually.

Interview

Qualified cadidates in the Tier 2 exam will be shortlisted to appear for the Interview, which will be held for a total of 100 marks. In the interview process, the expert panel evaluates whether the candidate can create a learning environment, maintain discipline, understand students’ needs, and uphold the ethical standards of the teaching profession.
