UP Police Constable Physical Eligibility, Requirements, Running Time, Jump & Chest Size

The UPPRPB will conduct the Physical Test (PST/PET), which is an important stage in the recruitment process for UP Police Constables. Candidates who qualify for the written examination will be shortlisted for the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Only those candidates are considered for the final list who cleared both stages of the physical test.

The process to select the UP Police Constable after the written examination has two physical tests. The first one is the Physical Measurement Test, and the second one is the Physical Efficiency Test. UP Police Constable Physical Eligibility Requirements

The UP Police Constable Physical Eligibility Requirements are prescribed by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB). Candidates must fulfil the physical eligibility criteria for PST and PET after the written exam for final selection. Those candidates who do not meet the eligibility criteria will be disqualified and not considered for the final merit list.

UP Police Constable Physical Test 2026 Details

Candidates should check the requirements for both the Physical Measurement Test and Physical Efficiency Test for both male and female candidates. On the day of the physical test, candidates must  meet all the physical standards and complete the running test and other physical tests within the prescribed time to remain eligible for the final merit list

UP Police Physical Standard Test (PST)

The UP Police Physical Measurement Test (PMT) is the first step toward the physical evaluation process. In this test the candidate’s chest and height are measured. Only PMT-qualified candidates are allowed to take the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

UP Police Constable Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

This test evaluates a candidate’s running ability; candidates must complete it within the specific time limit. The performance of the candidates in the test determines the qualification for the next stage.
