RRB Nursing Superintendent Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality
- (a) A candidate must be either:
(i) a citizen of India, or
(ii) a citizen of Nepal, or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan, or
(iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before 01.01.1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or - (b) A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination provisionally. However, the Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Government of India has to be submitted during Document Verification, failing which his/her candidature shall be rejected.
Education Qualifications
RRB specifies some minimum educational qualifications, and all those who want to become Nursing Officers in the railway sector need to fulfill and possess any of these qualifications.
- Candidates who have completed and have their certificate for the GNM Nursing course are eligible for Staff Nurse posts.
- Those who have done and completed their BSc/MSc Nursing Degree from a recognised institution/university in India are also eligible for the post.
Age Limit
The candidate interested in applying for the post of Nursing Officer for Indian Railways must be at least 20 years old and should not be more than 43 years old. If any candidate does not fall within the specified age limit, he/she is not eligible and cannot fill out the RRB Nursing Officer Application Form 2025. Some years of age relaxations are provided to the candidates belonging to reserved categories.

To select the eligible candidates for the post of Nursing Superintendent, the Railway Recruitment Board follows a two-stage selection process. - Stage 1 – Computer-Based Test – The RRB Nursing Superintendent Computer-Based Examination will be conducted for all candidates registered for the examination. The exam will consist of 100 objective-type questions for a total of 100 marks.
- Stage 2 – Document Verification – Qualified candidates in the CBT exam will be called to appear for the document verification process.
