IOB Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Before moving forward with the application process, candidates must follow the basic eligibility criteria, which include educational qualifications and an age limit. Check the eligibility provided below.
Educational Qualification (as on 31/07/2026)
- Candidates must have completed Graduation in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India or any equivalent qualifications recognized as such by the Central Government between 01.03.2022 and 31.07.2026 if registered under NATS.
- Candidates registered under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), the results of the graduation must have been declared between 01.04.2021 and 01.08.2025
Age Limit (as on 01/07/2026)
The minimum wage required to apply for the Indian Overseas Bank Apprentice post is 20 years, and the maximum age is 28 years. For General Category and EWS Candidates, the date of birth should fall between 01.07.1998 and 01.07.2006, wherein both dates are inclusive. The age relaxation for the same is as follows:

Selection Process
The selection of candidates for apprentice posts is based on the candidates’ performance in the online examination & test of the local language. Candidates qualifying in the online written examination will be eligible for the local language test. The test for the specified local language will be conducted during document verification.

- The test will be conducted for 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions for a total of 100 marks.
- The Indian Overseas Bank Apprentice exam will be conducted in online mode.
- The exam will consist of 04 sections. 25 questions will be asked in each section.
- The duration of the exam is 90 minutes with no sectional timing.

Indian Overseas Bank Apprentice Salary
All those candidates who are selected for apprentice posts will be paid a stipend for the contract period of one year as per the city’s posted. The apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances/benefits. The amount mentioned below will be directly credited to the bank accounts of the apprentice after adjusting unauthorized leaves, if any.
