The Railway Board has approved 600 vacancies across 9 Para-medical categories to be notified through a new Centralised Employment Notification (CEN) for 2026. Indian Railways has approved vacancies to be filled for various paramedical categories, including Nursing Superintendent, Pharmacist, X-ray Technician, and other posts. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will soon release the intent and detailed notification for Paramedical Staff posts. Candidates who fulfil the required eligibility criteria can submit their application forms at www.rrbapply.gov.in.
RRB Paramedical Exam 2026-27
The RRB Paramedical exam is a national-level competitive examination and will be conducted to recruit candidates for the following paramedical posts.

RRB Paramedical 2026-27 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification and age limit to be eligible to apply for RRB Paramedical Recruitment 2026.
Educational Qualification
Candidates should have the requisite minimum Educational/Technical/Professional qualifications indicated for the posts offered, from a recognised Board/University/institute.

Age Limit
The minimum age of the candidates must be 18 years, and the maximum age limit is 35 years, to be eligible for the upcoming RRB Paramedical Recruitment 2026.

RRB Paramedical 2026-27 Application Fee
Candidates have to pay the required application fee for RRB Paramedical 2026. The payment of the application fee can be done both online and offline. Payment through Internet banking or debit/credit cards or UPI, or through SBI Bank Challan Payment mode in any branch of SBI, and Post Office Challan Payment mode in any branch of computerized post office.

This fee will be refunded only to the candidates who will appear in the RRB Paramedical CBT Exam.
RRB Paramedical 2026 Exam Pattern

There will be a negative marking of 0.25 Marks for every question attempted wrong. No marks will be deducted for a question left unanswered.
Normalisation of Marks
Shortlisting of Candidates for the DV shall be based on the marks obtained by them in the CBT. However, sometimes the examination may be conducted in multiple sessions. If multiple sessions of CBT are conducted then the marks will be normalised. In such a scenario short listing of candidates for the DV shall be based on the normalised marks.

All those candidates who cleared the RRB Paramedical Recruitment exam and were selected for Various Paramedical Staff posts will be paid an attractive monthly salary. The posts-wise salary distribution has been tabulated below in the table.
