Railway RRB Nursing Superintendent Vacancy 2026 Out for 372 Posts, Notification PDF Soon

The Railway Board has approved 372 Nursing Superintendent (Nursing Officer) vacancies for this year. The Ministry of Railways issued an official letter (No. 2026/E(MPP)/25/13/Paramedical) approving vacancies for a new Centralized Employment Notification (CEN).

RRB Nursing Superintendent Vacancy 2026 Out

The Ministry of Railways provides the opportunity for candidates with a BSc/MSc nursing degree and a GNM nursing course who are looking for a stable government job in the railway sector.

RRB has confirmed 372 vacancies for Railway Nursing Superintendent posts, which is more than the number released last year. Check the official notice below.

Till now, just the number of vacancies has been announced; the confirmed dates, CEN No, and vacancies will be released along with the RRB Paramedical Notification 2026, which is expected in August 2026.

RRB Nursing Superintendent Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility requirements for the candidate’s age, medical fitness, and educational qualification are mentioned here in detail.

Education Qualifications

Candidates who have completed and have their certificate for the GNM Nursing course are eligible for Staff Nurse posts.
Those who have done and completed their BSc/MSc Nursing Degree from a recognized institution/university in India are also eligible for the post.

Age Limit

Minimum Age- 20 years
Maximum Age- 43 years

Some years of age relaxations are provided to the candidates belonging to reserved categories.

Female candidates who are widowed, divorced, or judicially separated from husbands but not remarried.	UR & EWS: 35 years OBC-NCL: 38 years SC/ST: 40 years
Candidates who are working in Quasi-Administrative offices of the Railway organization such as Railway Canteens, Co-operative Societies, and Institutes.	Up to the length of services rendered or 5 years, whichever is less

Medical Standards

Some visual standards are necessary to be fulfilled for RRB Nursing Officer Recruitment. The medical standard for the post is C1 which is specified below.

Distance Vision: 6/12, 6/18 with or without glasses
Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required.

RRB Nursing Superintendent Salary

The pay level for the Nursing Superintendent (Nursing officer) post is Pay Level 7, with a starting basic pay of Rs. 44,900. Along with this, various allowances, including Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance, and other benefits as per government regulations, are also provided to the selected candidates.
