What is the Eligibility Criteria for RRB Pharmacist Recruitment 2026 

To be eligible to apply for the RRB Pharmacist Recruitment, candidates have to fulfil the eligibility criteria that have been specified by the Railway Recruitment Board. Candidates must make sure they fulfil the criteria before applying for the recruitment.

Educational Qualification

Candidates interested in the Pharmacist recruitment must have:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 in Science or its equivalent, with a Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution
• Candidates must have registered as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948 (OR)
• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharma) from a recognized University or equivalent and registered as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act,1948.

Age Limit & Age Relaxation

The candidates who want to apply for the post of pharmacist must have a minimum age of 20 years and a maximum age of 35 years. The Railway Recruitment Board has also provided some relaxation in the upper age limit based on the category of the candidates. 

• Minimum Age - 20 years
• Maximum Age - 35 years

Medical Standards

Candidates who want to apply for the recruitment must be physically fit under the vision standard C‑2 category:

• Distance vision: 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses
• Near vision: Sn. 0.6 with or without glasses
• Must pass colour, night, binocular, and mesopic vision tests

Railway Pharmacist Application Form 2026 Link

The online application window for RRB Pharmacist Exam will open at the official website www.rrbapply.gov.in, and interested and eligible candidates can submit their duly filled application form by filling registartion form, paying the fee payment and providing other required details. The dates of commencement of the online application will be released along with the notification PDF. 

RRB Pharmacist Vacancy 2026 Application Fee

All candidates must pay the required application fee to complete the Railway Pharmacist Application Form 2026. The fee will be paid through an online payment gateway through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI, or E-Challan (offline mode).

• UR/OBC - Rs. 500/-
• SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/PwBDs/Transgender - Rs. 250/-

This fee will be refunded only to the candidates who will appear in the RRB CBT Examination as follows:

• Gen/ OBC/ EWS: Rs. 400/-
• SC/ ST/ EBC/ Female/ Transgender: Rs. 250/-

RRB Pharmacist Selection Process 2026

The selection process for RRB Pharmacist Recruitment involves the following stages. 

• Stage 1: Computer-Based Test
• Stage 2: Document Verification
• Stage 3: Medical Examination

RRB Pharmacist Exam Pattern 2026

• The exam will be conducted in online computer-based mode
• The exam will include 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions for 100 marks
• The time duration of the exam is 90 minutes
• There is negative marking; 1/3rd of the marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer

RRB Pharmacist Salary 2026

The RRB Pharmacist salary is based on the 7th Pay Commission, with an initial basic pay of Rs. 29,200 per month at Pay Level 5. In addition to the basic pay, the position includes various allowances and benefits such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance (TA). Other benefits typically include medical coverage, Leave Travel Concession (LTC), pension, gratuity, and opportunities for professional development.
