The initial basic pay given to Junior Engineers is Rs. 35,400/- with a grade pay of Rs. 4,200. In addition to the basic pay, Junior Engineers receive various allowances, which significantly increase their gross and in-hand salary. The gross salary can be approximately Rs. 53,000 – Rs. 64,000 or more (depending on the city).
