PSTET Application Form 2026, Apply Online Last Date Today

Punjab State Council of Educational Research and Training has invited applications from candidates who wish to apply for the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET). Those who are keen on applying for PSTET must apply, as today, i.e., 20th February 2026, is the last date. Candidates must hurry up, as this is their last chance to apply for the PSTET exam.

PSTET 2026 Application Form

Aspiring teachers seeking eligibility for Primary (Classes 1–5) and Upper Primary (Classes 6–8) positions in Punjab government schools can now register at pstet2025.org. To be eligible to appear for the exam scheduled for 15th March 2026 (Sunday), one must first successfully submit the PSTET 2026 Application Form and pay the fee.

PSTET 2026 exam is conducted by the Punjab State Council of Educational Research and Training to determine the eligibility of candidates for classes I to V (Primary Teacher) and classes VI to VIII (TGT- Trained Graduate Teacher) teacher posts. PSTET consists of two papers:

• Paper I: For candidates aiming to teach Classes I to V
• Paper II: For candidates aiming to teach Classes VI to VIII

Steps to Apply Online for PSTET Application Form 2026

Step 1- Visit the official website of the Punjab State Council of Educational Research and Training at https://pstet2025.org/.

Step 2- Read all the instructions given on the website before applying.

Step 3- To apply, click on the ‘Online Registration’ link available on the home page.

Step 4- Enter Candidate Name and Father Name, Mobile Number, and click on ‘Send OTP on Mobile’. Enter OTP received on your mobile to verify your mobile number.

Step 5- Enter E-Mail ID and click on ‘Send OTP on E-Mail’. Enter the OTP received to verify your E-Mail ID. Enter the password and click on submit to register on the portal.

Step 6- After successful login, the candidate is shown a list of activities to be performed to complete the Application Form.

Step 7- Fill in the ‘Attach your most recent photograph’ field. Select the Browse option and include your photograph and signature.

Step 8- When you’ve finished filling out all of the details, click the preview button. This will display the information you have provided. If all of the details are correct, press submit; otherwise, press edit to make corrections and resubmit the form.

Step 9- After submitting the application form online, the candidate must be assigned a reference ID number, which should be kept safe. The submission is considered complete upon receipt of a reference ID number.

PSTET 2026 Application Fee

Candidates must pay the fee through online modes only while submitting their  PSTET Application Form 2026. The payment should be completed before the last date to avoid rejection.

These are the documents you should scan and upload during the application process:

• 10th Class Marksheet & Certificate: Proof of educational qualification and age (also used as birth proof).
• Date of Birth Proof: Birth certificate or the Date of Birth as per the 10th certificate.
• Passport-size Photograph: Recent photo as per specifications.
• Signature (Scanned): Your usual signature in the required format.
• Identity Proof (choose one):
  (i) Aadhaar Card
  (ii) Voter ID
  (iii) Passport
  (iv) Any other valid government ID.
• Category Certificate (if applicable): SC/ST/OBC certificate in the prescribed Government of India format.
• EWS Certificate (if applicable): For the Economically Weaker Section benefit.

PSTET 2026 Application Form: Important Instructions

• Candidates must ensure that they fulfill the required eligibility criteria for PSTET Paper I and/or Paper II before filling out the PSTET 2026 Application Form.
• The application form must be submitted online only through the official PSTET website within the prescribed dates.
• Applicants should carefully enter their personal details, educational qualifications, and contact information, as no corrections may be allowed after final submission.
• Candidates must upload scanned copies of their recent photograph and signature in the prescribed format and size.
• The application fee must be paid online using a debit card, credit card, net banking, or other available payment modes. Once the fee is paid, it is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.
• Candidates applying for both Paper I and Paper II must select the appropriate option while filling out the form and pay the applicable fee.
• Applicants should ensure that their name, date of birth, and category details match exactly with their official documents.
• After successful submission, candidates are advised to download and print the confirmation page for future reference.

PSTET 2026 Minimum Qualifying Marks

PSTET Exam will be conducted in offline (OMR-based) mode. Each paper consists of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be completed in 2 hours and 30 minutes. There is no negative marking, which is a significant advantage for candidates.

• General – 60% (90 out of 150 total marks)
• OBC/SC/ST –  55% (82 out of 150 total marks)

PSTET Certificate Validity 2026

Qualified candidates in the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) exam will be provided a PSTET Certificate. The validity of the PSTET Certificate is lifetime. Qualified candidates can use their qualifying certificate for teacher appointments in Punjab without any restriction on the number of attempts.
