Oscar Awards 2023: Hollywood’s biggest night, the 95th Academy Awards is finally here!!! Best Original Song Award Comes to India for Naatu Naatu

The Telugu song “Naatu Naatu” from the RRR movie by MM Keeravaani and Chandrabose won the Academy Award in the best original song category. Other nominees for the Best Original Song Award were Applause (Tell It Like a Woman), Hold My Hand (Top Gun: Maverick), Lift Me Up (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) and This Is a Life (Everything Everywhere All at Once). Earlier AR Rehman’s Hindi language song Jai Ho from Slumdog Millionaire received an Academy Award for Best Original Song at the 81st Academy Awards in February 2009.

Elephant Whisperers Grabs Best Documentary Short Award

The Elephant Whisperers, directed by Kartiki Gonsalves and produced by Guneet Monga, has won Best Documentary Short Subject at the 95th Academy Awards. The other four nominees in the category were Haulout, The Martha Mitchell Effect, Stranger At The Gate, and How Do You Measure A Year? The Elephant Whisperers, set in the Mudumalai National Park, is the tale of an orphaned elephant calf named Raghu in the care of Bomman and Belli, an indigenous couple. The Elephant Whisperers was released on Netflix in December 2022.
