The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), Ajmer, has announced the exam date for 371 vacancies for the RPSC Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO) Preliminary Examination in the Home Department (Prosecution). RPSC APO Prelims Exam is scheduled for 2nd September 2026 (Tuesday). The exam will be held in offline mode at various exam centres throughout the state.

Educational Qualification
A Degree in Law (Professional) or an integrated Law Course from a University established by law in India.
Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devnagri Script and knowledge of Rajasthani dialects and social customs of Rajasthan.

RPSC APO 2026 Selection Process
The selection for RPSC APO 2026 will be done through a competitive written examination. The exam consists of two stages:
- Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
- Main Examination (Written)
RPSC APO Recruitment 2026 Exam Pattern
Preliminary Examination
- The Prelims is an objective-type exam.
- 70% weightage will be given to the Law Paper subjects.
- 30% weightage will go to test proficiency in Hindi and English.
- Marks from Prelims will NOT be counted in the final merit list.
Main Examination
The main exam consists of 2 papers:
Minimum qualifying marks: 40% for each paper (relaxed to 35% for SC/ST candidates).
