Indian Oscar Winners List: The Academy Awards, better known as the Oscars are the Hollywood’s most prestigious honours for artistic and technical merit for the global film industry. The various category winners are awarded a copy of a golden statuette as a trophy, officially called the "Academy Award of Merit", although more commonly referred to by its nickname, the "Oscar." Several Indian individuals and films have received or been nominated for the Academy Awards (also known as the Oscars) in different categories. As of 2023, 24 Indians have been nominated and 8 have won Oscars including in the scientific and technical category.

The 95th Academy Awards held in Los Angeles and India grabbed 2 Oscars for Best Original Song and Best Documentary category. Out of three nominations, India made it won 2 Academic Awards at 95th Academy Awards Function. M.M. Keeravani and Chandrabose brings home Oscar Award for 'Naatu Naatu' song in SS Rajamouli's 'RRR'. Guneet Monga has won the Best Documentary Short category award for 'The Elephant Whisperers'. Shaunak Sen Aman Mann was nominated for Best Documentary Feature for “All That Breathes”.

Oscar Award 2023- Best Original Song Award (Naatu Naatu)
The Telugu song "Naatu Naatu" from the RRR movie by MM Keeravaani and Chandrabose won the Academy Award in the best original song category. Other nominees for the Best Original Song Award were Applause (Tell It Like a Woman), Hold My Hand (Top Gun: Maverick), Lift Me Up (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) and This Is a Life (Everything Everywhere All at Once). Earlier AR Rehman's Hindi language song Jai Ho from Slumdog Millionaire received an Academy Award for Best Original Song at the 81st Academy Awards in February 2009.
Oscar Award 2023- Best Documentary Short Award (Elephant Whisperers)
The Elephant Whisperers, directed by Kartiki Gonsalves and produced by Guneet Monga, has won Best Documentary Short Subject at the 95th Academy Awards. The other four nominees in the category were Haulout, The Martha Mitchell Effect, Stranger At The Gate, and How Do You Measure A Year? The Elephant Whisperers, set in the Mudumalai National Park, is the tale of an orphaned elephant calf named Raghu in the care of Bomman and Belli, an indigenous couple. The Elephant Whisperers was released on Netflix in December 2022.
