RRB JE Exam Date 2026 Out- CEN 04/2026 CBT 1 from 27 October, Check Official Notice

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has officially announced the RRB JE Exam Date 2026 for candidates who have applied for the Junior Engineer recruitment under CEN 04/2026. As per the official schedule dated 16.09.2026, the RRB JE CBT 1 Exam 2026 will take place on 27, 28 and 30 October 2026. The RRB JE recruitment drive is being conducted for 4,029 Junior Engineer/DMS/CMA vacancies, as notified under CEN 04/2026. The application process of this recruitment has been started from 14 August 2026 to 13 September 2026.

RRB JE Exam Date 2026 Out

The RRB JE CBT 1 examination will be conducted on three days: 27, 28 and 30 October 2026 in multiple shifts across various exam centres. The exact examination date, shift and centre allotted to an individual candidate will be mentioned on the exam city intimation slip and admit card, which will be released separately before the examination.

RRB JE Exam Shift Timings 2026

The exact shift timings for the RRB JE CBT 1 examination will be mentioned on the candidate’s exam city slips. However, based on previous examinations, the CBT Exam can be held in 3 shifts on each scheduled date for which timings are as follows-

Shift 1:

• Reporting Time: 7:30 AM
• Gate Closure: 8:30 AM
• Exam Timings: 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM

Shift 2

• Reporting Time: 11:15 AM
• Gate Closure: 12:15 PM
• Exam Timings: 12:45 PM to 2:15 PM

Shift 3:

• Reporting Time: 3:00 PM
• Gate Closure: 4:00 PM
• Exam Timings: 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM

RRB JE City Intimation Slip & Admit Card

Before releasing the admit card, RRB generally provides candidates with an Exam City and Date Intimation Slip. This allows candidates to know the city in which their examination centre has been allotted. The city intimation slip should not be confused with the admit card.

• City Intimation Release Date- 10 days before exam date
• Admit Card Release Date- 4 days before exam date

The admit card will contain important information including:

• Candidate’s name
• Roll number
• Registration number

RRB JE Selection Process

The selection process for RRB JE generally involves multiple stages. The recruitment process includes:

CBT 1 → CBT 2 → Document Verification → Medical Examination
