Preparation Tips for SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam

  • Mock Tests – Since there is a major change in the pattern (sectional timing of 15 minutes), it is advised to take a mock test (full length), keeping in mind the time constraints of each section. Avoid free-flowing tests.
  • Do not mug up – As the exam is nearing, it is better to revise certain formulas, the vocab list, and current affairs rather than mug up.
  • Old Papers – You must also practise old papers to get an idea of the difficulty level of the examination as well as the kind of questions in Reasoning and Quant, English and GA.
  • Commute – Keep looking for transport and hotel options once you get an intimation of the city where you are going to write the exam.
  • Keep track of the SSC website – Make sure to look out for updates on the SSC website as well as the registered email/SMS in case of last-minute changes in the exam.
