How to Match Your Answers with Official Answer Key & Calculate Marks?

Upload Response Sheet → Select Exam → Match Question IDs → Compare Answers → Show Correct/Incorrect → Calculate Estimated Score

The candidates can match their answers they marked in the examination with the answers released by the exam authority after the official answer key and response sheet are published. This helps them find out their right and wrong answers and also find out their estimated marks before the result is announced.

  1. Access the official website of the examination with your login details and download your candidate response sheet/answer sheet.
  2. The answer sheet contains the questions that appeared in your examination and the options you selected.
  3. Download the official answer key released by the exam authority. In case the exam was held in different shifts, ensure that you are using the answer key for your shift. • If an official answer key is available, do not use a memory-based answer key to compare your responses.
  4. First of all, match the question number or question ID with the respective question in the official answer key in your answer sheet.
  5. Sometimes the numbers of the questions appear in a different order. Matching the Question ID is a safer way than just matching the serial number.
  6. Compare the option you chose with the correct option provided in the official answer key.
    • No. of Correct, Incorrect and Unanswered Questions
    • Then compare all your answers and divide them into three groups: Right answers, wrong answers, and questions not attempted.
This makes the calculation of marks a lot easier.sier.
  7. Apply the Exam’s Marking Scheme
    • Use the marking scheme (Correct Answer- 1 mark and Incorrect Answer- ⅓rd mark).
  8. The basic calculation is:
Estimated Score = (Number of Correct Answers * Marks per Question) – (Number of Incorrect Answers * Negative Marks).
For example, say an exam awards 1 mark for a correct answer and deducts ⅓rd mark for a wrong answer.
    Correct: 60 × 1 = 60 marks
    Wrong: 20 × 0.33 = 6.6 marks deducted
    Final Score: 60 − 6.6 = 53.4 marks

If the examination uses normalisation, the final score may differ from this raw score.
