IBPS RRB Vacancy 2026 (CRP RRBs XV)

The post-wise and category-wise vacancies for the IBPS RRB Recruitment 2026 (CRP RRBs XV) exam have been announced, along with the notification PDF. This year, 13745 vacancies for the RRB Office Assistant and Officer Scale-I, II & III posts have been released.

IBPS RRB Clerk Vacancy - State-wise

A total of 8,183 vacancies are for the Clerk (Office Assistant) post. The maximum vacancies are for Uttar Pradesh (1200), followed by Andhra Pradesh (900). For further details, check the table below.

Q. Can I apply for both Office Assistant and Officer Scale posts? 
Ans: Yes, candidates can apply for both the Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and one of the Officer Scale posts, provided they meet the eligibility criteria for each and pay the application fee for each post separately.

IBPS RRB 2026 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the IBPS RRB PO and Clerk and other posts, a candidate is required to fulfill the given eligibility criteria, including educational qualification, age limit, experience, etc., which are discussed below:

Age Limit (as on 01.09.2026)

• For Office Assistant (Group B) - Between 18 years and 28 years, i.e., candidates should not have been born earlier than 02.09.1998 and later than 01.09.2008 (both dates inclusive).
• For Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager Group A) - Above 18 years - Below 30 years, i.e., candidates should not have been born earlier than 02.09.1996 and later than 01.09.2008 (both dates inclusive).
• For Officer Scale-II (Manager Group A) - Above 21 years - Below 32 years, i.e., candidates should not have been born earlier than 02.09.1994 and later than 01.09.2005 (both dates inclusive).
• For Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager Group A) - Above 21 years and below 40 years, i.e., candidates should not have been born earlier than 02.09.1986 and later than 01.09.2005 (both dates inclusive).

Category-wise Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• PWD – 10 years
• Ex-Servicemen/Disabled Ex-Servicemen (for the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose)): the actual period of service rendered in the defence forces + 3 years  (8 years for disabled ex-servicemen belonging to SC/ST), subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years
• Widows, divorced women and women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried [only for the post of office assistant (multipurpose)] - Age concession upto the age of 35 years for General/EWS,  38 years for OBC and 40 years SC/ST candidates
• Persons affected by 1984 riots – 5 years

Note:

1. All the educational qualifications mentioned should be from a university/institution/board recognised by the Govt. of India/approved by Govt. regulatory bodies.

ii. A proper document from the board/university has to be submitted at the time of the interview for the posts of officers (Scale I, II and III) and at the time of joining for the post of office assistant (multipurpose).

Nationality / Citizenship

1. a Citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan or a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 intending to permanently settle in India or
2. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Language Proficiency

Candidates applying for office assistant posts in any particular RRB must possess proficiency in the local language of the state/UT where the RRB is located to be eligible for an interview.

IBPS RRB 2026 Exam Pattern (for All Posts)

IBPS has also released the exam pattern and syllabus for IBPS RRB officer scale 1, 2, 3, and office assistant posts. The exam pattern for selection for the post of Office Assistant is quite different from that of the exam pattern for selection for the post of officer grade.

For IBPS RRB Office Assistant, the exam will be conducted in two phases:

• Preliminary Exam
• Mains Exam

No interview process will be conducted for selecting candidates for the post of Office Assistant. Selection will be made purely on the marks obtained by the candidate in his/her mains examination.

For IBPS RRB PO, the exam will be conducted in three phases:

• Preliminary Exam
• Mains Exam
• Interview

For IBPS RRB Officer Scale 2 & 3, the exam will be conducted in three phases:

• Mains Exam
• Interview

Note: There is sectional timing for the IBPS RRB PO and Clerk exam.

No interview is required after the mains exam to get selected for the post of office assistant.

The final selection will be made on the cumulative score obtained by a candidate in both the mains exam and the interview process.

The difficulty level of the RRB Clerk Prelims Exam remains Easy to Moderate with 80 MCQs from Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude subjects.
