IBPS RRB GBO Eligibility Criteria 2026

Educational Qualification

• Qualification- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Preference will be given to the candidates having degree in  Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry,  Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation,  Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, and Accountancy.
• Experience-  Two years as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 21 years
• Maximum age: 32 years

Age Relaxation:  The IBPS RRB GBO age relaxation criteria provide certain benefits for reserved and special category candidates.

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• PWD: 10 years
• Ex-servicemen: Actual service period + 3 years (max 50 years)

IBPS RRB GBO Exam Pattern 2026

The IBPS RRB GBO Exam will be conducted for a total of 200 marks. The exam will include 200 questions for Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation, Financial Awareness, English Language/Hindi Language, and Computer Knowledge sections. The duration is 2 hours, and negative marking (0.25 marks) applies to the single exam.

The monthly salary of a General Banking Officer ranges from Rs 65,000 to Rs 67,000/- approximately. The basic salary starts from Rs. 48170 based on the latest pay scale Rs. 48170-1740/1- 49910-1990/10- 69810 under 7th CPC.
