• Must have passed the Madhyamik/Secondary Examination of the WBSE Board or its equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak Bengali (Not required for those whose mother tongue is Nepali).
• Knowledge of Bengali will be tested for candidates whose mother tongue is other than Bengali/Nepali at the time of the Personality Test. Candidature of the candidates with average and/or poor performance in the said knowledge of Bengali Test shall liable to be canceled.

The prescribed age limit under WBPSC Food SI Recruitment 2023 is 18 to 40 years. Age relaxation will be provided to the reserved categories(Bengal natives) as per the government rules and regulations. Other states’ reserved categories will be considered General.

WBPSC Food SI Selection Process

The WBPSC Food SI Recruitment 2023 Selection Process consists of 2 phases. The candidates first undergo a written examination and the candidates who qualify for the written exam will be called for the Interview round. Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the Written Exam as well as in the Interview round.

• Written examination (100 Marks) (Multiple Choice Questions based)
• Personality Test (20 Marks)
• The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the total marks obtained in the written examination and the marks obtained in the personality test.

The WBPSC Food SI written exam will include questions from general studies and arithmetic sections. Candidates who qualify for the written exam will be called for the next stage of the selection process i.e. interview round to test the communication skills and personality of the individual.
