With the release of UPSC Prelims Result 2023, a total of 14624 UPSC aspirants have been shortlisted to appear for UPSC CSE Mains Exam 2023 and 1958 candidates for IFS Mains Exam 2023. The selection begins with the Prelims Exam followed by Mains & Interview. Through UPSC CSE Exam 2023, the candidates are shortlisted for the appointment to 1225 vacancies for Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’.

How to Calculate UPSC Prelims Score Card 2023?

UPSC Prelims Score Card will be released for all stages by the commission on the official website. The UPSC Prelims Exam consists of 2 papers for 400 marks while the mains papers are 2350 marks in total. The IAS Prelims exam is of qualifying nature. The UPSC Mains Exam consists of nine papers out of which two language papers are qualifying in nature. The score calculation formula for prelims is given below.

The score for prelims GS 1 = Number of correct answers X 2 – Number of incorrect responses x 0.66

The score for prelims GS 2 = Number of correct answers X 2.5 – Number of incorrect responses x 0.83
